Hi all. Well, this is my first post but have been on this site for many years reading and learning. I am having an issue and would appreciate input. My 2021 1500 has had a funky smell for a few weeks, ruled out anything that was inside the cab, checked air filters, checked rear carpeting for wetness. Finally took it to the dealer yesterday. They tell me that the front drivers side floor carpeting is wet and I need to make an appointment and bring the truck back so they can figure out where the water is coming in. They mentioned getting into the front wheel well area to take a look. I have read a little online regarding this issue and it seems that there may be a seam that is not sealed behind the front fender. My question to the forum is once they find the leak and assuming they can fix it, what should I be asking for them to replace? My truck smells bad not only inside but you can smell the stink outside when the truck it running. Hubby and I agree that they need to replace the carpeting but I'm wondering how much further I need to go to get the smell completely out of the truck. I'm wondering if they should also replace any item with fabric such as headliner, seats? This truck is not even 2 years old and only has 13,300 miles on it. Also, I did not buy this truck at my local dealer and have a feeling that this is going to end up being a nightmare for me. Should I contact Ram Cares for their assistance in getting my truck back to new condition? Thanks in advance for your input.

There is a Star Online Publication (S192000026) water leak at A pillar onto floor, they have to remove the fender and spray with a hose from the bottom up along the black adhesive seam to see if water gets into driver's side floor, they have to reseal that seam with an adhesive sealer and epoxy paint.
I repaired myself with 3M Heavy Drip-check Sealer (08531) got it on Amazon.

Thanks for the information. I will check out the publication. Hopefully my dealership is seeing the same fix and gets it right.
