Dodge ram red key

Hey, it's been a long time since I posted anything. I have a bit of a side project going on and as usual it's kinda different.
Anyways I'm looking for someone who's Alittle more savvy in the key programming department to shed some light on my idea.

So Id like to program a dodge red key into my 15 ram 1500, the problem I'm seeing is the red key doesn't have the same id as the dodge rams so in theory won't talk to its rf hub or acknowledge its a red key. I'm wondering if the ram black key can somehow be programmed and recognized as a red key without swapping to challanger or trackhwawk rf hub. I'd like to try to figure this out before actually having to purchase the red key to experiment.

For those who I know will ask, I dont just like the fancy cover I want the effects of the red key or Atleast have my truck register its a red key so I can go further with my process which I'll explain later if it gets working.

No legit it is seriously the last of my problems. I have everything else theoretically working but the truck keeps asking for the red key before I can make any progress.
Definately not trolling if I was like that I'd still have Facebook.

I would have to imagine that the red key effects go further than the RF Hub. The ECM at minimum would need to support the multiple tuning options the red key allows when use in a Hellcat. It may end up where you'll need to use a Hellcat ECM if that's even possible without an engine swap.

Scatpack ECM, jeep abs unit and trans operating system reflash all options available on my u connect 8.1 just need the stupid key setup to work so I can get my track Modes to work.

Being available in uconnect doesn't mean it's available on your truck. There are lots of things listed in the uconnect programming, but without the actual parts and programming in your ECU it's not going to work. The key itself isn't going to help you if the required tech isn't there at the other end of the circuit.

Please don't take this the wrong way but let's focus on the main question, I'm not asking for insight on how which does what I already have that in place and in some forms functioning properly.

I simply want to know if anyone has found a way to program the black key as a red key without swapping out the rf hub as I don't really want to swap it out. I will if I have to though.

It's already been stated. If you had a read the replies, no it cannot be programmed. They are two different frequencies. That's why we said you would need to install all the components which you do not have. End of story

I think you're onto to something Brandon,according to the electrical genius's i know it should be do-able as all the programming should be in the trucks pcm and bcm,it's just a matter of finding it,and accessing it.

Yeah that video I sent you I'm making things happen and work properly. Just a matter of getting that key going and continuing foreward from there. Hehe!

Your very close to getting it working,lol. I know you,you're stubborn enough to make it work,you and Khris/CrazyKid have all my respect that's for sure :waytogo: :cheers:

Sorry didn't see this. So the red key will allow me to get further into the options and possibly record what it's doing. Then modify the system so engine and trans modes can be changed on the u connect. I'm getting there but the red key is the snag and I don't much feel like swapping out the rf hub and whatnot to test it if I don't have to. The hellcat, srt Cherokee track hawk and srt Cherokee all have different key id's for their respective rf hubs so you can't take a challanger Srt key and program it to a trackhawk and so on. I'm curious if anyone have ever just programmed a black key as a red one or found a way to. XD
