I got the rear reverse led pods finished up today, removed the cheapo Amazons and got these on. They have a red backlight when the running lights are on and then flood light white when the reverse lights turn on. Diode Dynamics SSC1 floods and a premade wiring kit from them also that taps directly into the 7 pin connector.

This is a nice bumper! I like how the lights are protected too.
Thank you! It's the Barricade HD from AmericanTrucks.com here that insurance bought me (unknowingly) instead of using the money towards a painted Sport bumper. The shop ordered and billed me for the version with lights, then "the lights weren't in the box", whatever.

Unless you live in snow country where they constantly dump nasty chemical crud on the roads.

I had a white pickup in the 90s that looked great except in the winter or after mudding.

.
Thankfully I'm in North Ga so we only get that muck for about a week a year

Thanks for those details, much appreciated.

I'll try to take an exploratory tour as soon as I can fit that in and coordinate with mother nature to avoid cold and yuck falling from the skies.
.

They say it works for the 5th gens too.

My SGW is still installed. I didn't remove it, or do anything rude. Just wacked this cable in on the OBD port, and the 2 blocks just up and left from the OBD port.

I did choose to do the "permanent" install. IE I actually clipped it in, and put the knee cover back on. I don't think it really makes the truck "less secure", as I could still pull the RF hub code with out the cable. And if they get in the truck, they likely have a bypass anyway.

Just walked out into the shop, took measurements and pictures so I'll have some before shots before leveling. Honestly not sure if it's already got a puck up top or not (only had it 5 days, so it hasn't been apart and can't see from the ground) but it's right at 37.5 front and 39 rear, dead level side to side. Dude I bought it from said he hadn't done anything but tint and tires in the ~40k miles he'd had it.

Will be going Bilteins, probably set at 2.8 and do a .5"-1" spacer as needed in the rear. I like my trucks dead level. It's on stock sized tires now, thinking about 275/65/20s to give it a better stance but not totally kill fuel mileage since my commute is ~80mi round trip.

Also ordered all my lighting upgrades, LED lows/highs/new fog assemblies, interior LEDs, LED tag lights, new spot mirrors, shorty antenna and a DeeZee tailgate assist. That and stripping off that ugly side stripe will be this weekend's project.

Pulled my parents toy hauler to TN and back for vacation. I expected the air ride to get cranky but it didn't miss a beat. I would've liked a slight bit better mileage but I can live with it until I get a gen 3 front diff. 3.21 gears and 35's don't mix well with towing LOL

Helped out pitting for a buddy at The Mint 400. A dodge ram truck with pit support by an all Ram truck crew. Good times. Almost finished 2 laps. Race truck drove from Lubbock Texas to Las Vegas Nevada to break in the new 6.4 8spd swap. A rock finally took out a radiator fan which then put a hole in the radiator.

Decided I don't think I want to do driving lights down on the lower bumper when I have the really nice fog LEDs already for lower fill below the headlights, so I'm going to go pillar lights instead. Grabbed a set of light mounts I've been eyeing from SDHQ in AZ that bolt to the fender bolts instead of the hood bolts so they don't move up and down with the hood.

I have some Diode Dynamics SS3s here in the box with the driving lenses ready to go on. Depending on reflections I may swap the lenses to spots. Guess I need to get going on the switch panel wiring so I can get the lights working.

Well I finally got down to it and installed some extra lights in the pickup today.

I added a led bed light kit from amazon that had 3 led strips, But I only mounted one strip on each side. They really light up the bed!

20230325_204728.jpg20230325_204746.jpg

With the 3rd strip from the kit, I made a new under hood light so I can see what's going on at night. ( I need to wash the engine and hood, I know)

20230325_160304.jpg20230325_201352.jpg20230325_201414.jpg

I also mounted and wired up my Fog lights into the grille. They're regular led pods, but I mounted them vertical.
This gives me light that is taller, and aimed off to the side. I drive on forestry roads and farm roads a lot so hopefully they can light up the deer and bears.
* I wont be using them for on-road/highway use *

20230325_160122.jpg20230325_201310.jpg

Tomorrow Ill hopefully get some white pods into the grille and some hidden up under the box.

The wiring relay kits by Nilight on Amazon are a huge time saver for the pods, Once I get my Aux switch panel ill swap the switches to there.
