I was gonna keep my mouth closed, but I'm starting to get excited so I gotta share. Got my new Diablosport Trinity today from Moes. Thank you Matt. Your service is the best! So, I've been waiting for a Cam swap. I've been bugging the ears off of Justin at Arrington for a few weeks now. Needless to say, Arrington has agreed to take my truck in and put a Com cam VVT 266 in and spend the resources/time to get it tuned. 40 percent off labor and tuning of course for free(the truck is a test mule). It will be the first '13 Ram and if everything goes well, I hope you guys can take advantage of this new mod/tune. Goes in Dec 2 and will take them approx. 2 weeks to have it up in running with the Trinity.

Anymore details on the cam specs?

Hope this will help. I only know that the cam phaser limits the advance to 14* at the crank 7* the cam and they will put in PSI springs for the extra lift but not needed.

Hemi Phaser Cam •Chrysler 5.7 & 6.4L
•RPM Range: 1800-6800
•Int. Advertised Duration: 266
•Exh. Advertised Duration: 274
•Int. Duration @ .050: 218
•Exh. Duration @ .050: 226
•Int. Lift: .612
•Exh. Lift: .605

I'm stoked to say the least. It will be a perfect Christmas gift to myself. Good call on the lsa. more torque at the lower part of the rpm range without sacrificing mid and top end. Cam phaser limiter with VVT tech is all new to me, but I'm hearing good things. I'm sure I will learn a lot through the process.

Did you ever check out the High Horse Perf website. I posted a video before. They use the same setup that you are getting, comp cam and phaser. They did it on a challenger 5.7vvt and got 90+ HP. But it was a bit more aggressive cam (Comp Cam 274). But even if you get 70 HP it should be a lot of fun.

70hp??
Seriously? I don't know what's all entailed in vvt...but if 70 is true and no bottom end loss....IM IN!! Providing the tune is safe .

I did check out the video that you posted. I liked what I saw very much with their shop and abilities but I really thought that since this is new territory that Arrington would be the place for my truck. I also looked at the VVT 274,(7400rpm) But Justin said from their experience the trucks stop making power @6100 rpm. I believe he said that the tranny limits the rpm range but I am in the process of finding out if that Solenoid can be switched out to meet the rpm range. But we are expecting atleast 60HP/TQ from this mod.

sorry for all the questions but what gears do you have and are you keeping the same converter stall speed?

This is great news. That cam should work out perfectly with your converter and other supporting mods. I'm excited to see the outcome.

sorry for all the questions but what gears do you have and are you keeping the same converter stall speed?

I still have the factory 3.55 gears. It will be in the build future to swap these out to 4.10 4.56. The truck is a 4x4 so not only will the rear carrier have to be machined but the front end, as far as I know, will have to be swapped to accept anything over 3.92.

As far as the Edge Hemiverter goes, at this point there shouldn't need to be any changes to the stall speed(2800-3000). I think that will remain to be seen. If anything, I may need to take it out and have the STR(2.2) recalibrated to something like2.0, 1.8. Andrea set the TC up for future mods, but if I where to put forced induction-then without a question the STR would need to be recal and stall changed. I am putting the cam in because of the TC and torque curve from the dyno results. I want more torque available at lower RPM range(2500-3000) then a smaller curve throughout the mid and high range, not flat but most of it up front. That's not ideal if you wanna tow or haul.
And springs are ◦PSI 1511 Springs.

Alright, I know how important it is to do a mod and then dyno for a mod by mod result. It gives us real time info on what to expect but I had to do this. I decided that I was putting some serious time and effort, not to mention funds to get my truck to Arringtons and they will have the top of the motor tore open, I'm going to put their phase 6 ported heads on top after the cam install. I couldn't refuse the deal they offered. I think I have to sign a waiver, but the build should be on their customer build page.
