Here's how I solved the media hub fit. Hand formed piece of plastic from an old cassette tape carrying case. The fit could be a bit better but for a first attempt I'm happy with the results! I simply glued the entire package from the backside with GOOP.

I read thru this whole thread and don't see any elaboration on the sentence....2017 radios can be converted to 2018. Does that mean switched out physically with a 2018 or you can modify the 2017 unit and get Android Auto and Carplay? I'd really like to have Android Auto. The price just to swap to a 2018 radio is too pricey for me.

I just put the 4C 8.4 inch in my 2018. Do I need a wiring adapter for my media hub also? Everything works except for the car play. I'd really like to get it working.

Did you replace the media hub with one from an 18 and yes you will need an adapter harness also.

Mine is an 18. so, I have not changed the hub. Mine already has two usb plugs and an aux plug.

Sorry I missed that when I read your post. It should just work. Was it a new radio? Does it show the RAM logo when you turn on the key? Also is the hub 2 full functioned usbs or is one a charge only port?

Help, I have a UAQ with 19.9. Tried in two vehicles, back camera not working and no XM but in the it’s there and subscribed, any thoughts?

If it's not from a RAM to that may be the issue. Sometimes reflashing the firmware corrects these kinds of issues so long as it's flashed in the correct vehicle.

Get the VIN from your DONOR vehicle. Enter that VIN on the Uconnect website to get your latest update. Follow the on screen instructions for downloading and flashing your radio.

I typically don't follow the instructions and use the direct download link. Then I extract the SWDL.ISO file and copy it directly to a FAT32 formatted USB drive with enough space for the file. Insert that in the radio withe the truck running and follow the prompts on the radio screen to begin flashing. If it shows your version and the update version are the same, flash it anyway.

Did you leave it alone for 30mins to 1hr in the vehicle? These UAx radios seems to take a long while to read the BCM config

Yep. Get it installed and grab some lunch or something, then come back ... And disconnecting the battery causes it to reset/start all over.

Same thing happened to me.
Just installed a 2018 UAQ in my 13 Ram. No XM button, no sound, Android Auto and Apple were there but dim and not selectable.
I turn truck on and off a few times, gave up and went inside as it was late. Next day on the way to work i noticed i was listening to the radio! Everything worked.... XM button appeared.
Everything except for Android auto button. Its still dim and not selectable.

Also i have no sub control options! In 2018 did they get rid on adjusting the sub output??
