Thanks to MP Grimm and everyone on this great forum I have upgraded several things on my 2019 RAM including the radio to an RA4. But the radio is a 2014 and unfortunately has V1 of the maps. I would like to upgrade, but first I would like to see if our address is listed. We live in a new development that is a little over a year old. Our house address is around 8 months old.

If someone has the latest version (I think V10) and would be generous enough to check my address please PM me.

Thanks again, this forum is awesome!

I can't find your info in my notes and a few of use are wondering ...

Is that a 19Ram 1500 Classic ?
Which HVAC module PN did you use?
Which Ra4 VP4-NA radio PN & year?
Factory 4 /7 speed fan?
Factory radio?

Doh !?! Brainfart. It's in progress on the bench at home. (I'm at work).

... (I moved the email/info into my in-work folder!).

Edit: and believe you started with a factory RA2 5.0 radio.

Yep... I fat fingered it and didn't catch it... yes, RA2

Edit: And no worries on the brain fart. You assist so many here I imagine it's hard to track all the usernames. We appreciate all the help!

Harness is on its way. Curious how this mash up of different year parts will pan out

Thanks Mike!

I agree...

2019 Ram Express Classic
2014 RA4 Jeep Cherokee Radio (68224525ZJ)
2018 HVAC Module (68366552AA)
2016 RV Mirror (68096091AF)
2018 Mirror Harness (68343002AA) w/Humidity Sensor (55111389AF)
2018 Temp Sensor (55111178AC)
13-18 Auto/Temp Bezel?

I have already installed the radio and steering wheel mounted volume controls which have been working perfect (except the 911 message.) I will let you know when all the other parts are installed. You wanted me to test the manual temp control first, before converting to auto?

Yes please test blend door/HVAC travel before enabling single zone ATC. If you leave the lower glove box out, you can watch to see if it has full travel in both directions as you adjust the temp up/down (watch the white tab move).

Reference first 5 posts and last few ...
- HVAC problem with UAS upgrade (see ATC thread).

You can see 2 example videos of what to look out for here...

Installation went smooth, most everything is working great. I checked the blend door before enabling single zone ATC and it worked fine. I tested both directions several times and it went to the ends.

The only issue is the 911 message is still popping up.

Thanks for the update. Now we are left to wonder if adding the sharkfin would resolve it or not. Did you use a 13-16 mirror with mics vs a 2018?
Let see some pixs !

Yes, the mirror is from a 2016 w/mics. Maybe I should try a 2018 mirror w/o mics?

Here are a few pics I took along the way...

FYI,
Managed to find a deal on a 17 Ra4 VP4-NA radio to test in my 18 Laramie to see if the full 18 setup works with it (HVAC module, assist mirror, Sharkfin). Will let you know how it goes.

EDIT: no cell error message in my truck... But I do get the jumpy/erratic temp up/down slider slider with the factory 2018 1500 HVAC module (xxxxx552Ax ). 14-17 HVAC module works fine with the Ra4 in my truck though? See a few posts down.

Seems inconsistent on mixing RAx year with different HVAC module years after getting reports from others.

I compared my BCM setting with MPGrimm's 18 Laramie and found two that were different. Interior EC Mirror Present and UConnect Access Mirror Buttons Present. I set both to 'Yes' and now I have two more buttons on my Apps screen (Controls and Mirror Dimmer). Unfortunately the 911 error message is still coming up.

Thanks for the update.

I installed the 2017 Ra4 VP4-NA radio I just picked up and it's not showing any issues whatsoever in my 2018 Laramie with factory 8.4 UAS radio & Dual Zone ATC.

I did have to install a 13-17 HVAC module I had on hand (68183973AA) to get the temperature sliders/control to work. No issues on my drive to work (No cell system error, etc).

14-17 1500's w/RAx = 68268186Ax HVAC module.

>> 18's 1500's w/UAx = 68366552AA HVAC module

Very interesting... I just verified that I do have the 2018 HVAC module (68366552AA) and it is working with the 2014 Cherokee radio.

I just noticed the back of my radio has a pink plug. Should something be plugged into it? I plugged the 911 by-pass into the purple plug.
