Biggest tire size on a 2/4” drop

This was with Maxtrac in the front set at 3" drop and Timber Grove 6" CRM air bag in the rear set at 5" drop. The front rode ok but I think Inez would ride better. I actually turned my Ram in early and got a 2021 Silverado RST 6.2L. I ordered the Belltech 4/6 kit for that already. 22" GMC rep...

Biggest tire size on a 2/4” drop

I run a 295/40/24 (33.3" tall) on my 2019 with a 3/5 drop. It rubs the inner frame rail on full cut to the left, but not right for some reason. It will lightly rub the top of the wheel well when hitting a big dip in the road, but it's not too often. I would say this is the tallest tire you can...

Timber Grove on a 4/6 or 5/7 drop?

You have to plumb them with separate lines. If they are plumbed with a T, the air can transfer back and forth which is not good. If you made a left turn with a load in the bed, all the air would be pushed out of the right bag and added to the left. Things could get sketchy real quick. My plan...

Timber Grove on a 4/6 or 5/7 drop?

I just ordered the 6" CRM for my 2019 4x4, they should be here today. I currently have the Maxtrac 2/4 and even with the helper bags I think pulling my boat will be an issue. My plan is to get IHC arms for the front with the TG bags in back for a 3/5 that rides nice and can tow my boat without...

    2/4 Lowering kit

If the strut was designed to be in the optimal stroke range at the lowered setting and the stock springs are used, I don't see why it wouldn't ride close to stock. I know for sure it'll ride better than my 4th gen with the ground force 2/3 kit, just based on the springs alone. As far as the...

    2/4 Lowering kit

Excited to see how it rides as well. Hope to install it the week after Xmas. I'm a little worried about the shocks/struts not lasting very long, similar to the drop shocks sold in most lowering kits. But hopefully that won't be an issue. I'll share pics of before and after as well. Sent from my...

    2/4 Lowering kit

The Maxtrac 2/4 kit uses specific struts up front with an adjustable snap ring/collar to achieve the drop from 0-3". It keeps the stock springs. Sent from my SM-N970U using Tapatalk

    2/4 Lowering kit

Maxtrac suspension just came out with a 2/4 kit for both 4th and 5th gens. I just ordered the kit for my 2019 for $430 shipped. Damn good deal. Check them out. Sent from my SM-N970U using Tapatalk

    Slight Drop

Is your truck 2x4 or 4x4? I was considering putting the 4th gen 4x4 front struts on my 5th gen 4x4, expecting close to a 2" drop using the factory 5th gen springs. Sounds like it won't drop as much as I hoped. Lol Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Gen 4 Ground Force Springs on Gen 5 4x4

I think I'm gonna try this. I have a bilstein 5100 laying around, so I just need to find a gen 4 spring seat. If the springs are the same diameter at the seat, I don't see why this wouldn't work. Gen 4 bilstein or stock strut, gen 5 spring and upper strut mount with some belltech rear...

Gen 4 Ground Force Springs on Gen 5 4x4

I spent some time under the truck the other day and measured what I could. Here's what I saw. The front spring on the new 2019 is quite a bit shorter (thinking this was done to take some mass out of the assy, partly adding up to the 200# mass reduction on the 2019), which makes the perch on...

Gen 4 Ground Force Springs on Gen 5 4x4

Has anyone been able to confirm if there is any difference between gen 4 and gen 5 coil springs for a 4x4? I planned on purchasing the Inez 3/5 kit but the 4x4 kit isn't available yet. I have a Ground Force kit sitting in my garage, hoping it will work. Just thought a quick check on here to see...

    Inez failed relocation brackets

Man, I've always questioned the thickness of those brackets. Really think they should be 3/16" at a minimum. Especially if you plan on towing with the truck. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
