We will be doing more tent camping trips. We have a few backpacking trips planned.
Did I mention we dislike people. Camping sure hasn't gotten any less popular. I hate making reservations months out, so we decided to go back to the Hey, it's Thursday where we going for the weekend! Even if...
The GCWR GVWR and GAWR are standard numbers. The payload and trailer weights are max numbers and only for information.
Your truck has a 5'7” bed or a 6'4". So, your 5 foot bed is 5'7
Can you show a picture of your two door jamb stickers? The silver one has your GVWR and GAWR and the tire...
Did you get any good news from your Finds about the chassis cab parts? I can remember years ago reading that but never finding them actually produced.
Man, I sure hope so! My transmission is starting to act weird at 178k and I would just as soon row my own like you!
The 2016 you had and the 2024 classic you are looking to get ..they are the exact same truck.
There is no 8 foot bed 1500 in the new body style.
The 2500 8 foot bed is the same bed still also...just some rework at the tailgate and taillights
So, yes...it will fit...it is literally the same truck
Wow. I glazed over most of the posts.
I use Unleaded 88 in all 3 of my vehicles. All 3 are 2015 model year. A Jeep Cherokee with 3.2l V6 a RAM 2500 with 6.4l and another with the 5.7l. They have 78k, 178k and 135k miles.
At this point I refuse to pay for 87 E10.
There is so much...
The GVWR of a PowerWagon is less than the 10000 lbs the regular 2500 get
Depending on year it is right around the 8565 mark.
This is why it has such a low payload number.
The reasons why are hashed out a million times.
When you got a 7000 plus pound truck doesn't take long to dig into 8565
Love it.
My 85 W250 with 360 4 speed and 16.5 inch wheels.
This truck is what took me away from the light duty trucks. After years of W150 PowerWagons and Ramcharger/Trailduster AW150 I got this HeftyDuty and have never looked back.
Late 86 to Early 90 is my favorite of all the 1st Gens...
Glad to see you around!
I bought a 5.7 HeftyDuty and they both list the 66RFE as the trans.
The BGE is the hellcat block though...
So annoying that this isn't an easy swap. I want that 3rd pedal and manual selector so bad.
Glad I still got that 8.0l Magnum to row my own with!
I have been running Unleaded 88/E15 in my 2015 6.4l and 2015 5.7 RAM 2500 and 2015 Jeep Cherokee 3.2l for many years now.
The 6.4l has had it exclusively for the last 3 years and about 75k miles. I think one time I couldn't get it and one fill up of 90 non ethanol for a dismal test.
Minimum...
Unfortunate this happened down in the low lands. Just wait til you get to the mountains and the Mennonites who are buying up all the land are doing this on the narrow, steep, windy mountain roads...such a great time trying to stop or accelerate away from their ****tin horses
Completely forgot to come back to this thread.
So, empty! The loud exhaust on the 5.7 makes it "feel" faster. To be honest...I am not sure which one is. I would lay money that the 6.4l is...but it doesn't feel it.
MPG. We took a trip to Ohio. Same trip I have taken in the 6.4l. The lightweight...
Do not watch YouTube. They have learned you get more clicks and comments when you tell lies.
MDS is why the 6.4 was made. The truck can do 55 plus in 2nd gear.
The last time it was true that no 2500 had MDS was 2013. The last time you had the option of no MDS was 2018. (Model years)
