Transmission failure in my 2018 2500

Ya I’m feeling like I got duped. And you’re probably right. How one chooses to take care of their vehicles (or anything) really makes a difference. I’m pretty **** about how I take care of everything. I expected anyone would take care of their vehicle if only for the amount of money it costs...

Transmission failure in my 2018 2500

In answer to the certified preowned :yes it was. I also bought a warranty. One for the exterior pain, which is not worth the money because the dealership no longer uses that company and I have not found one who know a thing about ExoGloss. I have rust stating on my wheel wells and some bubbling...

Transmission failure in my 2018 2500

Thank you for your reply. I was thinking that had to be the problem, or I got a lemon and then I saw several posts on transmissions pooping out. The repairman where I’m getting my truck fixed, paused when I told him where I purchased my truck. Just sickening to throw so much money into a...

My bad. Typo. 6.4L. Truck has so much power and ride is good. strongest truck I’ve owned until it pooped out. Like I’ve said. I’m not a mechanic. I go with advice from others who are much more knowledgeable about vehicle. I’ve always been a Chevy owner other than a short stint with a Tundra...

Stellantis’ new Ram pickup is an EV — with a gas-powered generator in case the battery runs out. The end of the Hemi???

My work place has a Ford electric truck. That baby is extremely powerful. The heat also is way faster and better than our gas engine trucks. it’s ungodly expensive, but it’s a great ride, tons of room and handling in Mountain snow and ice is far better than our ford or gm trucks. The...

The Volt was an amazing engineering feat. GM was ahead of its time. my Ram isn’t a very reliable truck anyway. So why not see if the newly engineered truck can do better than 100K miles. I have to agree, weight seems excessive. Maybe the plastic body is making up for the rest of it.

Transmission failure in my 2018 2500

Wow. Not a surprise. Manufacturers using subpar aluminum which warps. Appreciate the heads up. realistically, not many of the motoring public has the knowledge, or tools, or facility to tackle a job like that. And quite frankly, why would we. For the cost of these vehicles, the consumer...

Transmission failure in my 2018 2500

I too have just spent just shy of 8,000 bucks on a new transmission for my 2018 2500 Ram. I bought it two years ago from a dealer with about 80,000 miles on it. I felt it shifted hard, intermittently in low gears. It also had a hard reverse shift. Dealer assured me all was well. It’s just a...
