As far as I know the only way to turn off MDS is a custom tune flashed to the ECU. It's coded into the ECU firmware therefore there is no way to disable it without an ECU rewrite.
If you installed the brake controller yourself it will need to be activated my a dealer, or as I did myself with alfaobd for the BCM to use the feature.
If it's showing trailer disconnected it's working unless it's saying that with a trailer connected, if that's the case check the fuse in the PDC.
That's exactly my settings. My truck was already set to optional DRL the location was set to none. I just made the location to turn signal. I would rather have the parking lights but unfortunately that's not an option.
The alarm is not offered in the Tradesman and Express trims. All 2014 and up are equipped with it, it's just not activated. Just petty little things to get more of your money. It can be activated using Alfaobd and very simple to do, along with a ton of other features.
If the dealer won't give it to you there is an app called Chrysler pin puller. The app is free but requires credits it costs $15 USD but way easier then dealing with awful dealerships
Sorry I'm not local but use obdlink software and update the obdlink mx and make sure alfaobd is up to date.
