    You could take it to a professional and have it wheeled out. Nothing will make you cuss like burning through your clear coat or paint because you got carried away. Not to mention if it's bad enough to require a light wet sanding. The cost of all the different pads and grades of compound adds up...

    Can anyone near Belleville Mi turn on the trailer brake controller I installed? I don't want the dealer messing with my truck. No rush on it because its not leaving the barn until spring. Not looking for a freebie either, I just don't need the dealer doing updates and changing things.

    I see your in Wisconsin and it's probably still cold there. I would keep putting it on top of the tailgate through the summer and see what happens. Maybe try the hair dryer again with something under the seal to raise it while heating so it won't want to go back as far once it cools.

    My air tank and horns are mounted behind the front bumper and the compressor is under the hood. They are wired to the OEM horn button with a small toggle switch under the dash to switch from stock horn to air horns. I will try to get some pics later.

    The correct answer is, add a 12v compressor and air tank to operate your train horns, do not tamper with the suspension on your truck.

    If I were in your situation, I would go with the Monroe kit to replace the air ride and see how it performs with your trailer. If you need to you can add the Airlift setup later.

    I mounted the controller for my pedal commander in there. It took alot more effort than it should have. 2 minutes after I was done they started offering a pedal commander with blue tooth.

    I just did this repair on my wifes Journey. It was a little tedious but pretty straight forward. It is however a bad design.
