    and its a gas motor working it hard all the time is inviting premature failure or major issues .

    you didnt mention how many miles on it but it could be a sloppy timing chain which could cause the valves to hit the pistons. have you tried manually rotating the crank ?

    your 4.7 is not a hemi you only need 8 plugs and wires but im thinking you have a 5.7 hemi if that is the case you need 16 plugs

    itscalled a hybred been out for years in cars just not trucks. why not put a 4 cylinder engine and 27 gallontank it could go 8 or 9 hundred miles
