Morimoto XB LED CAN-BUS Install Info (2015 RAM 1500 Sport with Projector OEM)

I'm also driving a '15 1500 with projectors and intend to do the same upgrade this summer. It seems like a pretty straight forward swap to me. Morimoto seems to think so anyhow.

Do I have an HVAC issue?

I'm not trying to use recirc now, just wondering if the two issues are related. Good point about the AC turning on. I forgot that little detail. I've actually seen the light turned on previously when using the defroster. Great feedback, and quick too! Thanks!

Do I have an HVAC issue?

Over the last year my ability to turn on air recirculation has diminished. I'm not sure what determines whether it's allowed on or not, but whatever determines it has gotten pickier in the last year. Sometimes the only way I can get it to work at all is to go to manual mode vs auto. Now in...

Any issues I should be know about with JBA UCAs

I have BIL 5100s at 2.1" and would like to go to 2.8" but want to do it right. I routinely tow 7000 lbs and do light off roading, while towing even. My 2015 1500 is my daily driver and has rocked for the last 8 years/110,000 miles. I intend to put at least another 100k on it. Is there any...

Best AT tires for everyday use and snow?

I had Ridge Grapplers and hated 'em. Aside from good looks, they had terrible wet traction and they didn't last. I'm running Cooper AT3s now. They are lasting like crazy. Traction is good too. I run dedicated snow tires, but the AT3s have seen a little winter action. They're not bad.

Year model of 4th gen to stay away from?

I love my 2015 1500... EXCEPT that it is extremely finicky with electrical upgrades like LED headlights, etc. Other model years seem to be easier to deal with.

QUICK Question on Bilstein 5100 Rear Shocks w/spacers

Trying not to hijack the thread. I too am considering new UCAs to accommodate my BILs at 2.8. The Zone UCA has a greaseable ball joint. What is the maintenance schedule for that? My use might be similar to the OP, except that I also tow pretty heavy (which should mean nothing to front UCAs).

    Fog lights not stable

This has been bothering me too. Great solutions here!

    Best UCA?

I ran 0 offset 20x9 and 305/55r20 Nittos with Bilsteins at 1.4 and OEM UACs. Now the Bils are at 2.1, and may go to 2.8 if I upgrade the UACs. I now run -12 18x9 wheels for summer. My winter wheels are 0 20x9, which will likely never get that wide of a tire. I'm hoping to avoid wheel spacers...

    Best UCA?

Just so I understand correctly, you're saying that 0 (zero) offset 20x9 wheels with 12.5 wide tires will rub on any aftermarket UCAs that are intended for levelling/lifting? It seems that between the zero offset wheels and wider tires, the distance should be back to nearly stock with the OEM...

    Best snow traction devices

I'm running dedicated snow tires on a 4 wheel drive. They aren't as pretty as the warm weather tires, but they take care of business. I also have a topper on the back and stuff in the bed that adds up to 350-400 lbs. I have no problem getting out of snowed in areas or staying put on the ice.

    Best Headlight Upgrade?

They look nice and are priced competitively BUT are not compatible with this danged 2015.

    Best Headlight Upgrade?

So, after watching this review, I think Alpha Rex Nova might be the way to go for me. It appears to have the best side to side coverage, where deer and other potential road kill lurk.

    Best Headlight Upgrade?

Yeah, that video is what sent me here. It explains a lot but leaves gaps, especially RAM specific. I'm not certain my OEM projectors are even close to the clean patterns shown in that video.

    Best Headlight Upgrade?

Good feedback so far. I'm particularly curious about HID output and reliability, and LED output as far as coverage and clean cutoff. If I knew I could get those things I would likely opt for LED bulbs, but don't want to endure the install process only to have to start over while negotiating...
