First heavy tow with the hemi (15k)
My f150 EcoBoost had much more aggressive downshifting when you pressed the brakes, the harder/longer you braked the more it would downshift. That's literally my only complaint. 11k and 4.10s, I'll suspect you will be very pleased!- Bisley45

Well well, a aired the tires up and went to my folks to test tow the gooseneck trailer with the tractor loaded. The trailer, loaded with 5075 JD tractor and a 7 ft brushwacker attached weighs right at 15k. My truck is a 2019 bighorn 6.4 hemi with 3.73 gears. I drove a twisty tight little 2 lane...- Bisley45

I don't think you get what I'm saying. Let's say I'm in town doing 45ish 7 gear in T/H. As soon as I hit the brakes, I would prefer it to bang down the gears faster to provide engine braking. At no point was I advocating for lower RPMs and higher gears, quite the opposite actually.- Bisley45

So the way it downshifts in cruise is about the way I would like it to shift when not in cruise, but still in T/H. Yes, it will downshift in town when you hit the breaks as you describe. I would prefer those shift to be more aggressive/quicker when in T/H.- Bisley45

I don't see why not, when I tuned my 2012 ford via 5 Star the tow tune increased the shift strategy agression along with fueling and boost.- Bisley45

To be frank, the tow haul mode is not aggressive enough. I really wish it would hold gears longer and down shift more aggressively when braking on the downhill bits. Things like driving around in town and slowing down at a red light, I find myself waiting on it to downshift to give some engine...- Bisley45

6.4L 410 rear end mpg estimations
City driving can mean lots of things, are we talking inner city Dallas, or a city of 50k? I live in Little Rock, AR about 2.3 miles from my office. Going to the office it's mostly uphill with 8 red lights. I get about 9-10 mpgs with my 3.73s. To be honest my EcoBoost f150 only got 11-12 doing...- Bisley45
