    You didn't say if it had a sunroof, but figured you did not. Would check behind the back seats to see if they are wet there. It would tell you if the window or brake light is leaking. Good luck

    I would recommend trying POR-15 products, to stop the rust. I had a good Bedliner sprayed on the inside to prevent rust there, and undercoated like you did and did not have any problem. But in the north where they use excessive salt it is bound to happen. Just recommend you repair it.

    Open the cover on the tailgate. You should be able to see what is wrong. There is a plastic piece there check that. It could be it just needs lubrication .

    Check local laws, certain states require them to be only come on with parking and low beams.
