    Suggestions for old PW

I'm not an expert so take this with a grain of salt.... What are you planning to do with it. Restore to factory new? Restomod? Use i offroad? Daily drive? You said put a hemi in it so I don't think restore. If it were me, factory new is the only reason I would buy an original Power Wagon. Any...

    Ram Boxes good or bad

I have them and really enjoy them. I also have a tonneau. I store my battery powered tools in a totte. Batteries in a bag. My truck was in the shop for a while getting the tranny worked on. I was looking to replace it, new. I only looked at trucks with RamBox.

    UPDATED - Failed Tranny 2.0

My dealer had my truck for 5 months. Went thru a couple rebuilds and a valve body. None of it fixed it. Ended up with a rebuilt unit. I had loner trucks while it was in shop. I put near 20k miles on them. At just $0.30 a mile that would be $6k. Well, it would have been far cheaper if they just...

    66RFE Reprogram 6th in T/H???

80 is about right on the interstate. Less and you are a hazard to others. Ie, your the problem. Those of you in other states, please don't move here and 'fix' us to be like you. Just saying.

    Help me figure this out!

I didn't quote F350's post were he said So then I did some thinking and let my engineering brain stew on it...and I realized it all comes down to how much compressibility there is in your tires. See, tires have their 'actual, unloaded size' (in your case, 35"), and then they have their...

Looking to buy by month end…stuck between Rebel and Powerwagon

Rebel expect 16ish http://www.fuelly.com/car/ram/1500?engineconfig_id=19&bodytype_id=14&submodel_id=1535 Power Wagon expect 12ish. http://www.fuelly.com/car/ram/2500?engineconfig_id=72&bodytype_id=&submodel_id=2208 To me, 33% increase is significant. I find the 2500 acceptable to drive around...

    Help me figure this out!

Well, it is wrong. The tire has a fixed circumference. The circumference changes very little with air pressure. It changes 0 with load. Don't believe me. Look at a track vehicle. The fact that the tracks are not round doesn't change the distance traveled for one revolution of said tracks.

    My time in transmission frustration

I have a '15 Power Wagon. Yea, I do put some miles on. I owned this truck for 14 months before it went in the shop. I put 36k on it. I hunt out of Concan and spend a lot of time there. I am glad it's fixed.

    My time in transmission frustration

So, I got my truck back today with a new transmission. Knock wood I'm done with repairs. Going back in time to June 15th (Saturday). I was driving back to the house late in the evening, less than a mile from the house, when I heard a load bang and the yellow check engine light came on...

    Mud flaps

I see most with flaps are from the North. IE snow and salt. They are not very common here. So much so that I usually notice when a truck has them.
