Hello, I am not sure if these kind of posts are off limits since it is basically asking about getting rid of a dodge for a chevy and may be forsaken lol. But, I know everyone here is supportive and maybe learned some lessons that could offer some advice. I have a 16 ram 1500 2wd 5.7l with 78k. I...
The 18" magnaflow sounds phenomenal. Nice tamed growl on low throttle and a nice mean sound when flooring it. Instead of buying 2.25" to 4" adapters for the tips, the shop recommended just using the stock tailpipe since it is 4"OD and cut it back some so the new ones are placed where you see...
Truck is at the shop now, doing muffler today and tips tomorrow incase its a tad bit quiet and want the resonators off. They didn't want to touch that ypipe lol neither did a few other shops I called. So will be returning it or selling it on the forum. Ill post sound clip today or tomorrow
That's right, I forgot you did mentioned it is rated for like 480ish hp a few posts back. I'm more interested in the bigger ticket items first so will be a bit
@SouthernBornRebel - thanks for the part suggestions! I am actually already set of the muffler. Got the 18inch magnaflow. Y pipe and mbrp 5"tips schedule for tuesday! I plan on going the lower airbox and duct off the 6.4l because my plan is to get the intake manufold and injector kit. Going to...
Nice! Yeah I dont mind the winter. I used to live in VA so had my fair share, although maybe not as extreme. But yeah my degree is in computer science and the gf is doing radiology tech so both jobs are fairly abundant wherever we decide. Ill share this with her as well though, thanks!
Yeah FL has some goodies. Only issue is I am a BIG fan of the outdoors like walking on trails, waterfall chasing and the like. Me and the gf went on a trip to yellowstone and pretty much solidified my decision of moving back to somewhere with some mountain ranges.
Muffler, ypipe and tips going on tuesday. I know I said I wasnt going to do the ypipe since long tube headers but that very may be a couple years out so since they are under there anyways figured wth. After I get the labor cost ill be prdering that lower 6.4 airbox/duct/filter and then saving up...
@Wild one yeah absolutely! Ill be taking that advice for sure. Debating on just saving up for the all in HP route since I can use it on another vehicle as long as I register credits I believe. Since idk if I will trade up to a 4x4 or something else after I get into my career I think itd be best...
If the muffler comes in tomorrow early enough ima call the shop and see if they can fill me in so I don't wait till Tuesday. If so I'll be a lead foot for awhile
