The only thing that I can think of is that being that the start button is in the center of the circuit board, maybe the board flexes a little in the fob case so something either moves a little or can't connect? When I take it apart and push the button my finger is directly behind the button and... -

Transmission Shudder??? Without ERS???
My 2014 2500 6.4l 6spd does the same thing once in awhile, and I know another guy with a diesel dually that does it also. If I remember to put it in tow haul mode it always seems to be good.- Bryan S
