Just finished my Bilstein install...now for tires.
Got my tires put on. Toyo Open Country AT3's in 295/65/20. I love how it turned out! No rubbing whatsoever so far. They're nice and quiet too. We'll see how they do during hunting season and the subsequent Utah winter! Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk -

Thanks, yeah I like the smaller lifts with bigger tires too. And I'll keep you posted on how they perform long term. So far I've loved the upgrade. I've mostly noticed it in the handling in curves, there's noticably less body roll. Also, less nose dive on braking. My oem shocks had 93k miles on... -

Oh yeah you weren't wrong. Most of the time it's definitely more money to get bigger tires. it just so happened in this case with the specific tires I'm looking at there's actually a cost savings for a bigger size. -

Yeah man, check this out. Note the sizes. 295/55/20 vs 295/60/20 vs 295/65/20 All Toyo Open country AT3. Maybe there's just less demand for the 65s because most people that want 35s go for the 12.5 wides? That'd be my guess. -

Thanks, yeah I totally agree. However, my tires are pretty close to worn out already. That's why I'm looking at new ones. I don't want to do another hunting season and winter on how worn my tires are. The cost difference for a 2" taller tire is negligible and in some cases it's actually less... -

Thanks! And good to know a 12.1 should work. According to Toyo they measure 11.8" inflated. So hopefully that means I'll be good. -

Finally pulled the trigger on my Bilstein 5100 install. I did all 4 corners, set the front at 2.1 and did a 1.5" spacer in the rear to keep some rake. I love how it turned out! Here's the before and after: Now for tires... I'm keeping my factory 20x9s and thinking about picking up the new... -
