I don’t suggest going over tow rating but can add air bags to help if it’s an issue with sag. It helps a ton with squat and stabilizing everything while towing. Just add cradles for off roading.
It could be a leak coming from the egr coolant lines under the intake manifold. The leak is small and usually won’t see the coolant until you pull the intake itself. I believe it’s a common issue on the 6.4 hemi.
I’d say your capable for sure. I put a sonnax in mine which are reman oem with upgraded components and they have been machined flat to get rid of the warping. I can’t really comment on other brands but I know revmax and ats make them.
Sounds more like the solenoid pack to me. They are a known issue along with the valvebody. I don’t want to tell you to just start throwing parts at it but if it were me I would change the valvebody and solenoid pack together. If you are comfortable doing it then I would definitely do so...
I agree. Mine is like Jekyll and Hyde. One day it feels great and the next feels terrible. Sometimes it feels very sloppy and can’t figure out what gear it wants to be in. I’ve kind of gotten used to keeping it in 4th so it doesn’t even try to go into overdrive around town or on backroads. It...
Yeah I agree. Why mess with something that works but I guess the small amount of hemi’s that use it aren’t important enough to keep the same formula. At least the 5w30 seems to be doing well.
I’m not sure if it’s new or old formula but it is what is in my truck now. I’ll have to check a bottle for the date code. I knew almost immediately it was quite a bit more noisy compared to the 5w30. I only tried the 0w30 because of winter but I can’t even say we had cold weather here this year...
Same and nope I didn't like it in my 6.4. Its not a knock on amsoil as I still run it in everything else I own including my wife car. Amsoil 0w40 SS just didn't like my 6.4 as far as sound goes or maybe the 6.4 didn't like it. I'm sure it was protecting well but I couldn't handle the ticks and...
Doesn't sound like a transmission issue to me. Sounds like programming to the trans is at fault. I would reflash the back to stock if possible and go from there. Im sure a relearn was done to the tcm when trans shop put new one back in but I would be certain they did. But Im betting its a tune...
The differentials on these trucks do not have paper gaskets. They are reusable rubber gaskets. Just want to clarify this in case some one gets confused or reads this like they have paper gaskets. But they do not have the groove for an o-ring like the banks cover which is a great upgrade.
