Instead I just used clear silicone on the outside and have yet to see an issue; however, low and behold the leaks were actually from the rear window center slider bottom gasket...

    I used to use it every day until the bottom center seal started leaking when shut (now I can't even drive it in the rain). Since they don't make a replacement gasket it looks like I'd have to buy an entire unit...sucks.
