I was installing the stock running boards on my 2011 Ram and noticed one of the bolts at the bottom of the frame is missing. Was wondering if anyone knew where I could buy a replacement.
The picture is of the bolt on the other side
That’s the one you need a working key with, in my case, I wouldn’t have a working key since none of my keys are programmed to the replacement ignition switch.
2011 Ram 1500 4.7, has a bad ignition switch (ruled out all other possibilities) and a buddy of mine is parting out a 2012 ram so I’m trying to see if I can take his ignition switch and use it in my truck.
My question is, he doesn’t have the key fob anymore, so is there any way I can program...
So a little update:
After searching around, I found this Spireon GPS device connected under the driver side dash.
I’m not sure if this is also a kill switch and if it could’ve been what was causing the issues with the truck starting.
After disconnecting it, the truck has been starting...
When it wasn’t starting I YouTubed it because I thought it was some sort of theft protection, and I came across a video where the guy mentioned if your key is damaged you can still start the truck by holding down the unlock button while turning it, and that worked. So I replaced the key fob...
I have a 2011 Ram 1500 4.7 with 84k. I bought it about 5 months ago from previous owner. The issue, when I go to start it up, it won’t start unless I’m holding down the unlock button on the key fob as I’m turning it in the ignition. Otherwise if I don’t hold the button down and just turn the key...

I thought...

UPDATE: Took it back to the shop that did the swap, told them I needed an oil change. Came back and told me they couldn’t do it and said they “didn’t realize” it was different when they swapped it. Long story short, they replaced the oil pan with the correct one free of charge.
