    Synthetic Oil

Ive heard of it happening, but never experienced it myself. Not sure if its a model year thing, or a sensor sensitivity thing, or what. RL 5W-30 worked fine in my 2017 while I had it in there.

I noticed that too. I think he left it because the person he was tearing it down for needed the front cover, etc. Easier just to hand it to them as one big part. The channel gets a new tear down video pretty much every Saturday evening, it's one of the few channels I watch the videos as they...

    Warped exhaust manifolds

Weak bolts and not necessarily large enough diameter. OTOH, at least they aren't strong enough to rip out of the head.

Yep, it was also nice to see the bearings and such survived the wiped lifters/cam. I know he mentioned the mains were a bit meh, but that could have just been from high miles. It might mean the lifter/cam wipeout truly doesn't affect the rest of the engine all that much. It was funny to see...

Neat teardown (and channel, in general). He's done a few before, but this one has the classic lifter/cam issue. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g06MvYXhzJs

Front Calipers (New) seizing 2019 classic

If ABS was engaging, you would know it. The pump is not quiet and the vibration you get through the brake pedal is not the same as a "warped" rotor vibration. I believe there is a fuse you can pull to completely disable ABS...carefully, it might be a good test. Personally starting to think...

    Manifold screws

With that much hanging out of the head is it really even necessary? Spray some Kroil, apply some heat to the stud, latch on some vise grips...can't believe it wouldn't break loose by itself.

    BD Diesel replace manifolds

When I mentioned different I meant revisions of the same part. Checking various Mopar parts sites, my truck has 2 sets of manifolds listed, one set is discontinued. The hardware has newer revisions, but how do I know if the hardware fits the "old" manifolds already on my truck? Is the updated...

    Not a production vehicle AFAIK.

    BD Diesel replace manifolds

I get that, but reading around it seems like there might be different manifolds, different (longer) hardware, etc. Hard to get a read on what parts are still available, Ive seen a bunch of manifolds and bolts listed as discontinued.

    BD Diesel replace manifolds

Might have to break down and this myself. Should I replace *all* the bolts? Or just the broken ones? Mopar charges awfully much for crappy hardware. Id rather buy ARP but I dont think I can keep the heat shields with those.

    Exhaust Manifolds | Warped

Question about the belt sander/Remflex/ARP bolts fix - if I use ARP bolts do I lose the heat shields? Do they make a double-ended bolt like stock? Or am I better off using stock bolts/studs so I can keep the heat shield? Thanks!

    Synthetic Oil

I looked up the part number for my exhaust manifolds (well, attempted to, anyway). There are 2 sets listed, 1 set is discontinued, the one set that isn't is backordered lol Ill reach out to my dealer but Im guessing they are gonna give me an appointment a month from now to "check for the...

    Synthetic Oil

Classic bean counter BS. Save $0.001 on every manifold, times 2 manifolds per engine, times who knows how many engines. They weigh that against how many they think they'll need to replace under warranty, and as long as they come out ahead, it's all worth it. I plan on milking my MaxCare...

    Synthetic Oil

I think the idea is that once they warp and snap the studs, if you machine them flat again, there is no warp left in them. Kinda like releasing the tension in grain of wood once you cut it in a certain direction. I think the bigger issue on the RAM is that the bolts need to be larger diameter...
