The first small mod should be done at the dealership, a tailgate shock to prevent the gate from slamming open. I got the dee zee version put on on at the dealer! Every pick up ever sold should come with one!
I did install a compressor, switch, and four horn solution. I also beefed up the regular horn by adding 3 tuned type normal horns to the existing horn system for sound and tone. Then, for a real blast , I hit the air horn, but not on a public road.
I changed out the diff oil to Royal Purple at the same time as putting the Purple Cranium covers on. Also I got them to paint them in bright red and, it matches the truck very well.
Attached mine underneath the center cross bar on my bush bar using a curved 24" AlteredOffRoad with supplied brackets. They had a bolt pass thru the top that I attached 2x.50cal bullets to. On the top crossbar I drilled up , installed anchors and attached 2x20mm dummy A10 practice rounds painted...
The actual measurement is 34.75" and as for the fender flares I had the dealer install before I took the truck, they and the fender guards are mopar "RAM" parts. So are a lot of other parts RAM.
