I did not get worked up about having the transmission level...I just left the truck on the ground and did all the filling that way. Pretty sure it's right since it's shifting much better and trans temp has not gone over 185 after a long drive including stop and go and highway speeds. Your...
I like my Ram better than any other truck I have owned. There is always room for improvement. My main complaint is the folding rear seats. Mine are very finicky. I have lubed all pivot points, and they still jam and won't lift up lots of times....
Wish the hemi got better gas mileage, but that's...
YES! And thank you AND this forum for saving me a bunch of money. Thought I needed a right tail light, but it was just the 3rd brake light bulb...$2 and change to fix! Yee Haw!
I just completed this job on my 2018 1500 Laramie 4X4. Watched several youtube videos on the procedure. They were very helpful, but like most youtube "how to" videos they glossed over some hard parts. Number one, if you are laying on your back to do the job its a *****! If you don't have wet...
Thanks for the tip I'm doing plugs soon, and will check my intake manifold bolts when I do. Mine's a 2018 and never been checked I bet. Could this be the source of the infamous "hemi tick?"
I am going to check my fuses tomorrow. I keep getting a "brake light out" message even though all rear lights are working properly. Hope this fixes it.
My 2018 Laramie 5.7 radio has started acting up. After running and being shut off the radio deletes or switches all the preset stations. This morning the station I left on was still on, but a different station was displayed! (and not a working one). This is very frustrating. I will try a few...
Thank you all for the input. I was planning on changing out the fluids since I bought it used. Did my first oil change and put in Mobil 1 synthetic which so far has eliminated the ticking I had at start up sometimes. Now on to the differentials and transfer case! I agree no harm in doing stuff...
Hello all, I recently bought a 2018 Ram 1500 Laramie with the 5.7L engine. It is a 4X4. I am now close to 50 thousand miles. So when should I consider servicing the front and rear diffs and transfer case? I will be doing the work myself. Thanks!
That's what I'm talking about! They only thing I miss about my Chevy Silverado is the step bumper! Wife is 4 foot 11...so lack of step pi$$es her off! I know I can buy an accessory one, but I don't want to...so how do I get one to fit a 2018 Laramie with the giant OEM chromies?
I used Redline Shock Proof Gear oil in my Harley Transmission....worked well. Bought a 2018 5.7 with 44k miles. Nice and quiet until the other day....heard the dreaded lifter tick on a warm restart on level ground! Damn...first thing went thru my mind was OIL CHANGE! So I will try the Red juice...
Ok, thanks for the information. I am still feeling out this truck, so once I reach a conclusion I will decide. I don't want a low quality extended warranty, but I have heard even the good ones have some wiggle room on price. We shall see.
