5 years and over 70k miles of hauling my big butt around have taken a toll on my seat cushion. I’m finding foam under the seat now so I know it’s time. I don’t want to go OE again since it will probably fail again in a few years. I’ve seen Geno’s and The Seat Shop with “upgraded” cushions. Has...
I’m a QSUD user as well, went 7500 miles on my first service with it. Have about 700 miles on the second. Engine runs quietly like I think it should. 5w30 has done well. I’ve noticed a slight drop in mileage but if it protects my valvetrain it’s worth it.

Mine has 101k on it and has had those startups randomly during the 5 years I’ve owned it. It makes me cringe and also makes me want to throw the for sale signs on it too. Mine just rolled out of the CPO 7/100 warranty too.
I’ve seen over 10 Hemi valvetrain failures at my work alone. One was a 2013 Ram that had 177k, another was a 2011 Ram 2500 with 90k, and the others were 2013 and 2015 Chargers that had anywhere from 40-110k miles. These are Sheriff’s Department vehicles other than the 2500 which is a public...
Has anyone who has done this modification noticed improvements in fuel mileage? I wonder also if my exhaust would sound a little throatier under throttle.
My truck has done it a handful of times since I’ve owned it. Most recently after it sat for 8 days after a vacation it did. I’ve since changed the oil to QSUD 5w30 with hopes it delays the camshaft and lifter death. My truck has 94k on it.
