    The computer ecm is different between 95 and 96 injectors are different as well so maybe put your 96 injectors in. One Year is hi impedance other is low impedance

    You need to take most of them out of your 96 and put them in the 99 engine your 96 probably no EGR and if 99 has egr switch intake alternator too or splice wires 96 has two aqua stat 99 has 1 should probably change intake and coil

    Transmissions can make weird ticking noises too. It sounds like you have heard the lifter tick the noise is only at the top of the engine. Rod bearing tick can be hard at the top side and the oil pan. Grab any sort of pipe you can lay under running truck after you know it's not gonna roll away...

    Yeah I just saw the video There should be enough preload on those lifters that you should not be able to spin the push rods even when there not pumped up all the way. Maybe cam isn't far enough forward? Lifters should roll more to one edge the rear edge of cam lobe and both holes plugged in...
