    Power Running Boards

Funny, because I feel like the power boards on my RAM are much more solid-feeling than the fixed ones (OEM) I had on my 2015 F-150. -John

    Power Running Boards

Instead of replacing them, you can go into the "Controls" app on the touchscreen and deploy them manually. I think they'll stay out until you bring them in again, but someone correct me if I'm wrong. I use this feature when I wash the truck, to ensure I clean the boards. -John

    First DA orbital polisher

I'll pile on with my experience. My wife bought me a Griot's Garage DA unit with the longer cord and all the polishes and pads back in 2012 or 2013. It's worked fantastically, and I've used the orange pads to do polishing and light paint correction, and the red ones for buffing. I use it to...

    Adaptive Cruise Control

All the driver safety aids are a stress-reliever for me. I know how to drive, and I'm always paying attention, but the BLIS catches the speeder that is flying by and thus skipped through my mirrors, the backup camera allows me to see around the van parked at my kids' daycare so I can see...

If you could have ANY truck, what would it be.

I'd take the engine from a Ford (3.5 EcoBoost), combined with the transmission and interior of the RAM, the exterior from a RAM, and the suspension from the RAM. Oh wait, I'll just take the engine from a RAM, too. Yep, 2019 RAM 1500 Limited. That'll do. Really my biggest adjustment coming...

My built n ordered Ram 1500 showed up with wrong rear end ratio

That's outstanding! Did they require any cash on your end, or are they just swapping the VIN on your loan? -John

My built n ordered Ram 1500 showed up with wrong rear end ratio

AFAIK, only 3.21 and 3.92 RARs are available with the V8. 3.55 would've been perfect, but it's only available on the V6 models. -John

    Loud Humming after amp install

If you ran separate power/RCAs to it, then make sure the RCAs don't run on the same side as power. RCAs can pick up a hum from the power wires if they're too close. I had a Mustang that did something similar - it picked up the turn signal wires running to the rear of the car, and when I put on...

Suggestions on easy to apply wax or polish...

You guys want a long-lasting, deep shine, and you like GG products? Try a layer of Meguiar's ULW, followed by GG BOS wax. Good times. For maintenance waxing, dry with a water blade and then a microfiber cloth and GG SOW. Saves time, adds shine. The ULW will last 6+ months (depending on...

Is Anyone happy with their ‘19 Ram?

I love my 2019! I've got almost 3,000 miles on her and I continue to smile when behind the wheel. Sure, there are a few things that could be different/better, and my 12" touch screen has gone screwy a couple of times (sitting for a 1/2 hour or more fixed it both times), but it's been great so...

Suggestions on easy to apply wax or polish...

I like Griot's Garage Spray-On Wax. Like others have said, a longer-lasting product will be your friend, but for 2-3 weeks of beading and protection, the GG SOW works well and gives a nice shine. I too have shoulder issues (no surgery yet though!) so I can wholeheartedly recommend a...

    Falken wildpeak at3w

Watch whatever you use to shine up your tires - some of them will cause premature dry rot! I have been using Griot's Garage Rubber & Vinyl Dressing for years, and the tires don't look too shiny - more like fresh rubber. I like it, and my tires look new. -John

Looking at 2019 Limited ... questions!

Yeah, you're right - but if you take 20% off MSRP (what some consider an "optimal" deal on a new truck), you're at about $53k for a $69k truck, then take off the $13k of positive equity (given the CarMax appraisal), and with TTL, one would be OTD for around $42.5k, which is about the max I'm...

Looking at 2019 Limited ... questions!

OR, the shorter bed could be for those of us who don't have space for the longer truck, need the cab space more than the bed space, or just plain don't want the longer truck. Be nice. -John

Looking at 2019 Limited ... questions!

Between KBB and NADA, the range was $35-37k for trade-in. -John
