    Spence had that thought, but more because when I put the calipers to mounts, mine were several mm wider than spec. I think my rear end was built by a ****-addled blind squirrel on a Friday afternoon. I can only assume that bad batch components went to the "Healing Room" as we used to call it...

    I know that the ears on the mounts on my rearend are considerably smaller than the bushings allowing them to cut the bushings under lateral pressure. I can see it would allow it saw it apart over time.
