2020 ram 1500 driver rear led tail light out.

Welcome to the Dodge Ram Forum. You might have better luck by posting in the correct section for your truck. This is the 2nd gen section - you should be in the 4th or 5th gen section, depending on body style.

    46re Transmission Question

We've probably replaced 20 governor solenoids/transducer kits, using stock parts, H/D Borg Warner parts, and Allison upgrade kits and never had an issue from the size of the feed hole or fluid flow. No idea what the "#2" fluid is you refer to, other than the early Dextron 2 dinosaur *** from...

Ripped Seat - Just DO It!

Before and after of my seat repair and a link to the write-up I did, describing using a pass seat bottom on the drivers side. https://www.ramforum.com/threads/drivers-seat-bottom-interchange.120464/

Please help stalls out, rough idle, wont stay running.

Did you try cleaning the IAM (Idle Air Motor)? It is on the throttle body and controls an air bleed circuit to set the idle.

    46RE wont shift into 3rd

In your case you could have had a stuck 2-3 shift valve. But. If the front clutch is worn out to the point that you don't have 3rd, it's odd that reverse worked - it's used for both. And when the drainback valve fails, it usually fries the intermediate shaft, support, and planetaries - the drums...

    46RE wont shift into 3rd

No. The rear band is applied for reverse and manual low gear. The front (intermediate) band is applied in 2nd gear. In drive - 1st gear = rear clutch + rear sprag (over-running) clutch. 2nd gear = rear clutch + the front (intermediate) band. 3rd gear = rear clutch + front clutch. If you have 1st...

NEW INTERIOR DASH AND DASH FRAME

That is the impression I got right off the bat - he was looking to see if there was interest in them before he got some to roll over and sell.

    2wd lift

If you use the search function or look through the posts you will see that topic was kind of beat to death on here years ago. I kind of remember that there weren't lift spindles out there for 2nd gen trucks, and opinions were split between whether or not it was a good idea to raise the front end...

    High mileage 318

My '96 Ram with a 5.9 has 203K miles on it - I guess that's actually low miles for a 26 year old truck.

    new Driver SIDE SEAT

I did a write-up about this several years ago. Clean pass side bottoms are plentiful and cheap in yards. Although the front corners are shaped a little different, the pass side bottoms can be used on the drivers side for a good daily driver quality repair.

    Magnum Intake Shootout

SPOILER ALERT Engine Masters show on the Motor Trend channel (David Freiberger and Steve Dulcich) did a dyno test shoot-out on a few Magnum intakes with some interesting results. Test was done on a stock 5.9 with a SMALL hydraulic roller replacement cam and 1 7/8 long tube headers. They tested a...

    Hypothetical - 426 stroker w/kegger

The short block needs to be able to withstand amount of power you make, regardless of how you make it. Exceed the limits and you tend to add windows where there were walls. Making power at lower RPM'S - like with boost - easier on the swingie parts and valvetrain. With that said - if you...

    Transmission Replacement Source?

Richard from Precision Transmission always says he tries to shy away from bench jobs because they can't control the installation. The trans itself is only as good as the install, and with the electronically controlled units, as good as the tune. Failure to fully clean the debris from the trans...

    Timing change question

My '99 V6 Dakota had a tensioner. Every time the lifter goes over the nose of a cam lobe, the cam tries to rotate or snap forward. They started putting the tensioners on the V6's to stop these harmonics. Apparently the V8's having more cylinders were smoother and didn't have the issue. It is a...

    High Ram Hardware

McMaster Carr lists M8x1.25 socket head capscrews and stainless hex bolts in both 170 and 190 lengths. I usually get my orders from them within 2 business days. Fastenall lists M8x1.25 hex bolts in 170 and 190 lengths, and socket capscrews in 170 and 200 lengths in their online catalog. Not...
