Frankly, a 3.L engine with twin turbos is pushing all the HP and torque out of a small displacement engine can deliver. It barley gets much better mpg as the 5.7. What's the point?- farout75

4x4 with no tow hooks?
You can have tow hooks put on, but it's costly! Four years ago the hooks were about $400 plust shop time- farout75

What kind of mileage are you getting with a Hemi and 3.92 gears?
I have kept accurate records of every gallon of gas my RAM 1500 5.7 with 3:92 gears has had put in from when I bought it new. It now has 149,600 mikes. Best has been 20 mpg worst has been 14 mpg. Average is 17.5. 20% of my hours are idle hours. This is 100% accurate.- farout75

Fluid Change after many miles?
The Owners manual says 120,000 miles or sooner if you two. Make sure you change the pan/filter and use the ZF trans fluid. Do it right and it will treat you right.- farout75

Should I change my trans fluid?
By my 17 RAM 1500 owners manual is says 120,000 miles if you don't haul a trailer the filter/pan and fluid must be changed. It amounts to about $350. to $400. depending on the dealer. Its required if you have a MOPAR warranty beyond the factory one.- farout75

Buying new truck, had to sign acknowledgment that connected services account can’t be activated?
It very simply meand that the dealership cant hook these features up, you have to. Call Uconnect and the free will start. Poor wording by the dealer.- farout75

2013 Dodge Ram 1500 Transmission Flush
To rebuild a ZF 8 speed around close to $5K. Its just not worth the risk using any of the other fluids, no matter how good they say they are, especially if its under warranty.- farout75

I would NEVER take my RAM to a Mr. Lube! By the owners manual and MOPAR Warranty the trans fluid should be changed at 120,000 miles. Yes that means changing the pan/filter. Just pumping the fluid leaves all the gunk in the filter.- farout75

Mopar MaxCare warranties vs Dealer extended warranties
I have had 21 Chrysler made vehicles in the last 30 years. I have has The ones the Chrysler had (Mopar today) and others the dealer said were just as good if not better, and cheaper too. Gasoline - Top Tier for 2024
MY 17 RAM 15000 5.7 has nearly 148,000 miles. I have used Top Tier gas exclusively. I have recorded ever gallon, price and MPG from buying it new. At 100K the spark plugs were clean and ware was minor. The throttle body was clean. So clear the Tec was surprised. I have never used any additive...- farout75
