Hughes Air Gap + tune. How much power?

To answer the original question, tuned vs. tuned , the Airgap OR M1 2bbl (yes they are different designs, yes they perform almost identical to each other) will make 20-25 whp/20-25 wtq avg more than a similiar combo with the kegger. I bought a 2000 single cab Dakota RT, and the FIRST thing i...

The tunes are PN specific, but if you are using a PCM for the correct make/model/year vehicle....it should be the same as previous. The reason for this is that in almost all cases, there is only 1 (maaayyyybe 2) supported PNs per classification of make/model/year/engine/trans combo. I don't...

    Hemifever Update

There was no real changes made during the update. I routinely report stuff for them to fix as time/needs allow.

Roots-blown, fuel-injected Magnum. Can it be done?

The Procharged 360 I did that made 525/644 made peak tq between 3k and 4k rpm. Just my .02

    SCT X4 thoughts....

As Matt stated, the canned tunes are not going to give the same gains as even a base tune from any of the typical tuners for these trucks. My canned tune resulted in a 25 whp/35 wtq gain from 4200-6200 (can't dyno lower with the 8 spd). Gains will be comparable on the earlier trucks.

You are far, far better off swapping to OBD2 .

    5.9mag mods in 69 dart

I am available for both remote and in-person tuning. The last boosted 360 I did made 525/644 on 10.5 psi without me ever leaving my home office.

Procharged 410ci Ram email tune results - 517whp/769wtq

As reported by the owner: "Had a chance to get the truck on a dyno this morning. Had about 20 minutes notice to get in truck and show up, so preparation was limited. First pull showed 501 rwhp and 560 rwtg but belt was slipping. After letting it sit for a few minutes and tightening the belt...

Hughes F1 Airgap Kit On Stock Engine

I wouldn't bother swapping cams without the use of aftermarket heads. The stock heads crack, and the factory springs are terrible. The springs can be replaced, but aftermarket springs can fatigue and break the factory 2 piece valves. The 2 piece valves can be replaced, but then you're...

Hughes F1 Airgap Kit On Stock Engine

Almost identical results. The airgap makes a hair bit more tq down low , M1 makes a hair more above 5500. It's such a negligible difference that i wouldn't use one over the other. Both work well. You'll need an updated canned tune to run either.

    Basic tuner questions

SCT 9550s can no longer be unlocked. I have the best canned tunes for SCT around. My pricing is competitive too.

Hughes F1 Airgap Kit On Stock Engine

The biggest thing when it comes to swapping manifolds is retuning. The low end loss is somewhat negligible , at least in a 360, after reprogramming. We picked up 20 whp and 42 wtq with no other changes other than a FRP Airgap Flash.

Opinions appreciated on light 5.9L upgrades

Since you have a handheld, my pricing is pretty simple. 199.99 for canned tunes, 299.99 for custom, 399.99 for forced induction . The package that would work best for you would be dependent in your modifications. I really can't speak publicly about the vendor in question, all I can say is...

    Why tune with FRP?

Some of you may be overwhelmed when seeking out a performance tune for your truck. Lots of opinions, lots of arguing, not much in the way of clear data. A fast truck is not necessarily a well-tuned truck, and there are lots of other aspects of tuning besides just dyno numbers or track times...
