Truck running hot.
That’s another thing to check given the miles and years on the truck. If the pump is not working then the coolant temp would rise very quickly. That would be noticeable.- Fritter

Truck running hot.
First thought is thermostat issue. 2nd is to check coolant and oil levels (do this first though). 3rd is shutters not opening. I haven’t seen oil pressure that low in a running hemi but would need more info. You didn’t provide info on driving conditions or what you have checked so thoughts...- Fritter

Given the minimal differences between the 8HP70 and 8HP75 - the 8HP70 recommendations are probably relevant. Now would be a good time to drain and fill the fluid. Not all is replaced. The 8HP70 process is provided below (thx to Wild One's new transmission) - see the attachment.- Fritter

PacBrake remote filter install
I had a similar 6 psi oil pressure drop when I installed the PacBrake relocation kit. I tried swapping the oil filter (used 2 Fram XG2's) with the same result. The 6 psi drop is at >1200 rpm. Idle oil pressure was within 1 psi. I'm going to a RP 20-820 on next oil change - I'll post if there...- Fritter

I tried MDS disable, priming the oil (flooded start method), cleaning the injectors, confirmed fluid levels, and revving the engine to 2,000 rpm before shutdown the night before. No joy on any of them. So of these were low probability causes but gives some piece of mind. I haven't removed the...- Fritter

Taspeace, I have the same issue - quiet on cold start; knocking in reverse or drive for less than a minute. Typically gets quiet around 100 to 120 deg F EOT (don't have EGT). What’s your favorite flavor of cordless tools?
Back in the day (as in way back) I bought a few Porter Cable tools, all are still in good shape and get the job done. Switched to Dewalt for the miter saw and kept going with the 20v XR cordless gear. I’ve had no issues with the equipment and they get the job done.
