    Help with headlights

I have the pro's and they are great compared to stock. I put morimoto HID's for the headlights (5500K) and ran gtr ultra 2 led for the high beam. I've adjusted them and the light output is pretty good and doesn't blind oncoming traffic.

Which winter tire? (for Quebec winters)

I've had the older model of ice guard for 6 ish years. I live in Saskatchewan and they have served me well. Our winters range from -40c to +5. We get snow dumps to freezing rain. The tires performed best in 4WD and I felt they did well in slushy and snowy conditions. They were decent on ice...

    Poll- Do you like MDS?

@Burla I found the post. Link below. I know its not scientific testing but I feel manufacturers are doing anything they can to appear more eco friendly even if it's truly not more eco friendly. https://www.ramforum.com/threads/does-mds-actually-save-fuel.118658/

    Poll- Do you like MDS?

@Burla Didn't someone post on here connecting their truck to fuel management software? All mds did was turn off half the cylinders but run double the amount of fuel (same amount of fuel if it was 8 cylinders). I haven't noticed any noticeable fuel mileage improvements on the highway with it.

How to remove the dash 12V socket?

Hello, I have a 2013 quad cab SLT and want to know how to remove the 12V plug by the drivers footwell? It's loose so I think it needs to be fixed or reattached. Thanks in advance!

    Oil change-engine temp?

Cold is fine as its all located in the pan. Modern oils aren't thick like they were in the past. You will get more out when its sitting in the pan then circulating it in throughout the engine. I feel like the warm it up is one of those out dated practices like the tune up. Older cars needed...

    New spark plugs @ 100,000?

I did mine at 80k, I did both sets. I would say its worth it. The one set are rated for 160,000km. However, the gap on them was over double of what was allowed. I found the truck idled smoother. You are just going to restore smoothness that you lost over time. I would put the best NGK option...

Alpharex G2 - horrible high beams?

Its most likely the LED bulbs. Lots aren't very focused.

    Shock Absorbers

I vote for bilstein 5100. Improved the ride quality without sacrificing performance. My friend had fox for his f150 and great for niche offroad or a weekend warrior. His had the exterior reservoir and it started leaking. He had to ship the shock to California and wait for warranty. In the...

    Oil change and time question

If you don't have warranty on the engine do an oil analysis after one year. I don't believe moisture will be a problem for you as your run time is longer burning off the moisture. I do short drives, 8km on average and change my oil once a year. I use a quality filter and synthetic oil. Analysis...

    30k Mile Transmission Flush

Do you have a link or pic of the spray pump you recommend? I was going to use an enema bottle to drop the fluid into the district tube. Won't be fast but will be clean.

    KROWN ?

You can put fluid film in doors. Our trucks are actually really easy to spray in every nook and cranny. Here is a link reviewing several rusting products including fluid film and krown.

    KROWN ?

I've used known for a few years and its not bad. I don't know how effective it is but I feel like it has helped a bit.

    Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Specs 0w-40

You may have to take it to a track day and race it all day (circuit) to thin it out. Lol

Valvetrain noise and metal in oil analysis - 30K miles

Great way to test! Just thought I would mention. Do you have a magnetic drain plug? That might catch some the metals I would average out the metals over a couple of analysis' to rule out any error in testing. However, given the noises you hear and issues (assuming it's not a manifold bolt) it...
