Guess I should update. We went big this year with a 2021 Forest River Salem 29VBUD. Looking at 2500 gasser options now. 1500 tows it god enough, but want a heavy truck for them longer trips.

2020 Camping season.....over before it starts?

We finally made it out the weekend of the 4th. Broke in our new rig. Upgraded from a 13 KZ Sportsmen Classic hybrid to a 2021 Salem VBUD.. went from 20 foot to 37! Can't believe how well it tows! Minor upgrades, added HD helper bags to help stiffen up the rear end but while towing still are at...

Towing Heavy with a 1500 ... Who does it?

We do the same here, mine is 37' long and just over max tow weight. I have done upgraded brakes on the truck and installed the hd helper bags to assist but honestly haven't inflated beyond my stock ride psi when towing as it has not been needed. Cannot over look at good weight distribution hitch...

2020 Camping season.....over before it starts?

Yikes, yeah luckily we only had 2 trips planned. And the one is through the Michigan State park system and they are waving the cancellation fees now. That is Memorial Day weekend. I am thinking we are safe to ax that one. Next one is not until July but nothing has been said yet about options for...

I assume that is under the 36k and not the power train warranty. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk

Just noticed this issue the other night! First time it happened, was colder that night attributed it to that when it didn't do it 2 nights later.

Ford F-150 versus Dodge Ram 1500

I have to say, 2 years ago when I was shopping for replacement tow vehicle and everyday driver I was very close to buying a Ford. Would have loved to have the 3.5 Eco boost, but was not willing to pay an extra 6k for it. So drove 3 or 4 5.0 2017 with base options and liked them. I had paper...
