2017 Ram Hemi sounds like a clattering heap

Is it possible it's not lifter related - but a ecm issue? Knock sensor type, where it's throwing the timing off for a bit or something?

#2 is what I have. Drove a mile or so total Sat night. Was barely partial warm on shutdown. Sun it made the racket - but not as bad, or as long as it usually does... if it's just a quick move in the driveway.

    What's the theory behind that?

Probably the Jeep GC I read that - she has the 3.6.

This sounds more like exhaust leak - but not sure. Only time ever does it is on a restart - if I move it for a short distance & shut it down. Mostly cold starts I think also.? Will try to get it to repeat & get audio.

Only happens if I do a short run on it - which I rarely do. Read some other guys had it happen - but no replies on why. Is it mechanical or a Cpu type of issue?? Want to figure it out. Sounds like a pile starting like that.

Anybody give it a quick rev before shut off in a situation like a short move? Not sure if that would make a difference? 31k on it. Valvoline full syn I used last change. Mopar or Fram filter.

Sure sounds horrible - but goes away after a few seconds. Where do you guys get redline at? Oil thread has so many pages & opinions. Hard to decipher what is what.?
