    Gearing Change

A 10k trailer is stated, we don't know if that is gvwr or loaded weight. A cat scale trip would appear to be in order to determine the actual,.loaded ready to travel weight. Regardless, if we use 10k as actual loaded weight and 15 percent for younger weight which detracts from available...

Non MDS Lifter options - Mother Mopar or Comp Cams?

Great thoughts as usual Burla. I don't know for sure, but always was of the belief that mds was not active at idle and at idle all 8 are lit. When I slow down for a traffic light, just before I stop, if eco is active, the eco note goes out and stays out until I'm moving again, if i am in...

    Synthetic Oil

Mine has been in service now transmission pan gasket/factory transmission pan, going on 2 or 3 years, I'd have to check my maintenance log, but it's still totally dry and I never retorque the pan bolts. Once on the initial install to spec and done. Great product!

    RP 10-48 Oil Filter

Not sure if its the different xfer cases across models, however both 20.820 and 20.500(what im running now because the 820 was out of stock in April when i did the annual service) fit my 2017 2500 4x4 with no issues. The 820 is a little tight, but no where near an issue to R&I. Just my .02

    66RFE Experience

I believe your 18 has the 66rfe. HD trucks didnt get the 8 speed until the new body style came out in 19 I believe. Dont worry about it, properly maintain it with fluid changes every 30k and run it. Life is too short to worry about what its. Yours may never have an issue and if you do, deal...

Do you use anti seize or impact drill on your lug nuts

I use a small amount of anti sieve on the lug studs and torque to spec with a torque wrench. I run them on just snug with an impact gun. Remove with an impact gun. Never had an issue with any coming loose.

    Busted drag link

Hi William Thanks, but I dont think that's the issue here. I believe the member had a steering issue and had the drag link replaced due to that. It wasn't one that was warranty replaced prior, I do not believe, but I could also be misunderstanding that members post

    Busted drag link

Short answer is if your drag link was just worn out and required replacemrnt due to wear and tear, that's not likely eligible for recall. But I could be wrong.

    Buying From Hertz

Unless your someone like me who prefers white for it's high visibility on the road, its ability to hide small dents and scratches and its longevity and resistance to paint fade due to its nature and how it reflects light and heat in the summer.....but hey, that's just me. Everyone is different...

What's the best replacement for the 66RFE

Great to hear. How's it performing so far? Any initial thoughts? What was the total cost of the job?

    Busted drag link

I was one of the initial members that started this drag link crusade with FCA years ago and with much persistence and patience eventually got my drag link replaced by FCA. @RamCares helped me as did FCA customer service. It was a battle with multiple formal letters written and sent to FCA...

    Transfer case failure

I think from a mechanical standpoint, not using anything often is bad and can lead to premature issues. Dont use your ac regularly, seals can dry out and lead to early repairs. Let an engine sit too long and cylinders that have valves open (compressed springs) can lead to weaker springs...

    Transfer case failure

Correct. I have a Toyota rav4 as a daily driver. I bought my 2500 for pulling a travel trailer which I sold last year. Pre pandemic I still switched it up and drove the ram 2 days per week to work or so. My employers office shut down for 2 years during the pandemic so it was used even...

    Transfer case failure

The perfect storm of crap scenario then. Stinks man. Insurance will pay for that kind of direct an accidental damage though as you said, so that's good
