2014 or 2017. Kinda New to rams.

All vehicles age and so do the parts, just a simple case of wear and tear. All else being equal, I'd go for the newer one if you can swing it. See if you can get it inspected by a third party like AAA.

Did your extended warranty pay off?

If they offered lifetime warranties in Canada I probably would've considered it as I tend to keep my vehicles and drive them into the ground. But they don't and like has been mentioned, the extended warranties offered tend to end just before the major components wear out. My 2010 Laramie CC 4WD...

Why are manufacturers still putting cloth seats in trucks?

Many manufacturers are now offering different fabrics with better stain protection and heated seat options which I would prefer to leather. I've had my Laramie for 10 years and within the first two years the cheap leather Chrysler uses cracked and started flaking off. Replaced the seat under...

Whos got the most miles on their 5.7?

I too find it amusing that anytime I've posted any problems with my 2010 Ram I end up with a never ending parade of "best truck I've ever owned" from those with their 3-year old trucks. My 2010 Ram Laramie 5.7 CC has 242,000km (151,000 miles). Got hit with that TIPM, WIN module and ABS sensor...

    Fuel filling issue

Been buying my gas from Costco gas stations and have never had any issues.

Would you buy another Hemi - Poll?

Can't see I disagree with you. I love the way my RAM Laramie looks, drives and highway fuel economy is actually pretty good. But the issues, starting with the heating/ac, exhaust manifold, recalls waiting on parts for years culminating with almost having an accident due to the axle pin recall...

THINK I SHOULD GET A REWARD FROM FCA

Bird dog is a common practice in the industry.

    HEMI TICK JASPER FIX

Wow. Just wow. Only 105,000 miles (168,000km for us Canadians). That's crazy.

How many miles on your 4th Gen Ram

Pretty much any vehicle will last as long as you keep sinking money into it. Just depends on what amount you consider to be reasonable.

I think I am done with Chrysler products

THIS is what I'm talking about. I actually do like my truck. Just deflated that it has so many issues compared to other vehicles I own. Wear and tear is one thing, quality issues are another. FWIW FCA customer service is an oxymoron.

I think I am done with Chrysler products

Took my dealer 2 months to diagnose and repair all the electrical issues (TIPM, WIN module, wiring, sensors) my 2010 Ram Laramie had. 2 MONTHS without my worktruck. Ridiculous. My BIL's 2010 Toyota Tundra that is abused compared to my Ram and has had no issues whatsoever, even the a/c still...

All bad news. Let’s here some good stories

First of all, let me state that I've always loved my Dodge trucks. Great ride, style and fair price. First one had 330K kms over 7 years, replaced with a 2005 Ram Daytona followed by a 2008 Ram QC. My current 4th gen. Laramie CC has had more issues than the other three combined. Some are minor...

    Lease return $687 bill!!!

Glad it worked out to the OP's satisfaction for the most part. FWIW whenever I've leased and brought the truck back and yes with some minor wear and tear dings, the dealership has always inspected it and I inquire with the GM or someone higher than just the salesman. I've never paid anything...

    Catastrophic Engine Failure

It used to be that one could expect a vehicle to go 10+ years with just proper routine maintenance and replacement of wear and tear parts. I fear those days are long gone.

    Tempted

If it's truly 0% interest then it doesn't matter how long you take to pay off the truck because the borrowed money is free. You're better off using YOUR money to pay other bills, such as mortgage or credit cards, where you are paying interest.
