Warmup vs No Warmup
I normally let mine warm up for 15 minutes. That's how long my timer for my remote start is set for. I had the emission recall done on my truck and if I don't let it heat up at least 5-10 minutes when it's cold its got really bad turbo lag until the engine is warm. Yes it should. That's what came in my 2015 tradesman before I upgraded to the 8.4 radio. Worked just fine with the backup cam. If your truck doesn't have the camera installed already you will need to enable the reverse camera in alfaodb too after installing it. Settings for AlfaODB Rear View...- Hugearse69

Help needed on part number!!!
I'm glad you found this. My dealer told me that they dont sell that cover separate from the wire harness. That's cover was missing off my truck when I bought it and it always drove me nuts seeing it every time I open the hood. Sent from my Phone 2 using Tapatalk- Hugearse69

True. im starting to wonder if its not from a 2015 even though that's what the part number has lead me to believe. Still wouldn't explain why the update screen wont come up at all. Finally got around to trying again and same result. Tried in run with the truck running, nothing. :( I wound up getting a new media hub with the sd card slot thinking that that might be the issue. didn't fix it though. im about out of ideas. may need to pull the radio to verify the part number...- Hugearse69

The one ive used in the past with the old radio is a 8gb usb 2.0 one from imation. my other one is a new sandisk 64 gb but I repartitioned it to 30 GB so I wouldn't have to force format it to FAT32. Maybe im just unlucky and need to try another drive.- Hugearse69

Nothing still. I tried factory resetting the radio to see if it would make a difference and still nothing. The radio sees the usb though. when I go to media it shows up. When the radio was resetting it showed an srt logo while booting before it continued with resetting itself. maybe a clue as to...- Hugearse69

Yup I did. I turn on the truck and plug in the flash drive and it flashes but nothing happens. They have to be directly on the flash drive and not in a folder right?- Hugearse69
