    swap my 66RFE for a G56....cost?

That is annoying with the 6.4. Why on earth Dodge/Ram used the same transmission gearing on the Hemi as they use on the Cummins is beyond me.....just lazy engineers or pencil pushers. The Hemi mated to a manual would be great.

2024 HD Truck Tire Recommendations? HT / LT

Been on a set of the Grabber ATx for three years now and am pretty pleased. I can't run a highway tire as I'm off-road 3 weeks a year hunting in rough and snowy terrain and of course road daily driving in Colorado in the winter needs better tread for snow and ice. For the little in gas money it...

Hard time shifting from park in the mornings

I did this last night, cold and snowing. Worked like a champ. Going to do that the next several days and see if that's indeed the trick. Thanks for passing on this knowledge!!!!

Hard time shifting from park in the mornings

I'll have to give that a try next time I park in my driveway which is a terrible slope.

Hard time shifting from park in the mornings

Mine does it on high incline parking. I've more recently figured out that putting the brake down hard and then setting the parking brake hard really helps alot and seems to take the tension off the tranny I guess. I did the recall several years ago when the shifter bracket broke and am trying...

Drag Link recall update per FCA

I was aware but I had the link put in a couple years before a corrected OEM was even made. Now it makes no sense swapping out mine for the new OEM even if free. I did ask at my dealer though a year ago, they didn't have any of the new ones available and still just talked about welding. No...

Drag Link recall update per FCA

Glad I bought an aftermarket drag link. To deal with their stupid fix is insane.

    66RFE TROUBLE

Drive it under full load again till it either dies or goes into a bad mode and drive it right into the dealers shop. Three times and no codes, drive it till it blows.....then it'll be easy for them to find the issue.

    2015 2500 4x4 so many recalls,so little time

I've had all done to my 2015 with the exception of the drag-link, that I had replaced with the better aftermarket one instead of welding the OEM one. Everything has been fine with no ill effects of Ram doing them all.

    Transmission shortage

Glad you got your truck back. Just curious.....my MaxCare covers a rental car up to xx dollars a day. Did they give you a loaner or did you get a rental, I mean you're talking about being out a vehicle for years. I know when a small part in my shifter had broke they said it'd be months to get...

    NHTSA finally opens ABS/HCU investigation

Have a 2015. Never had the brake issue but when Ram said the drag link fix was a welding job I bought the Synergy immediately and never looked back. Never had an issue with it.

    3:73 to 4:10 cost

Just too bad there wasn't the Aisin option on the standard 3/4 tons. 4.44 gears would have been about perfect for most anything.

What part about your HD that you wish Ram would change or update?

All you have to do is hit the gear select on the shift handle and it turns off MDS. Simple and doesn't void the warranty. Me, I'd like the newer 8 speed in my 2015 and while I could easily afford to trade mine in there's no way I'm getting rid of my current truck with the MaxCare warranty. The...

Anyone selling their truck in this crazy market?

Biggest issue I'd have trading in or selling is losing the MaxCare warranty. That one thing is worth its weight in gold. No way I'd give up either my Ram or Durango since they both basically have lifetime warranties. A dealer would have to offer me the most ridiculous trade to get me to bite.

Dealer does not lube driveshaft on 2500

Everytime I take mine in for the normal servicing I specifically tell them too. They do it 75% of the time. There's a couple of the mechanics that know exactly what to do and where to find the little fitting.
