I couldn’t stand the rusty frame rails that showed in the wheel well any longer.. $6.49 fix haha.
Door is on hold because I have to order more paint and bedliner.

With the tires and no gear swap, you can feel the weight a little more when towing, but a slightly heavier right foot solves that. Maybe 1500lbs + the trailer weight. Towed just fine down the interstate. I’ve towed way more with the same setup. Definitely want to install trailer brakes...
Got bored the other night and finally finished my cb install. Ran the wires neatly under the dash using factory holes. The only hole I had to make was a tiny one in the rubber boot/grommet that the parking brake cable runs through. Tested it yesterday once my dad got home in his semi and I ran...
Finally working on my new door.. been sanding and fixing imperfections, now laying down some light primer coats. Going to get the rest later then I’ll hit it with some 400 grit to make sure there’s no rough areas then I’ve already got the paint ready to go. Not bothering with the bottom half

The video wouldn’t load so I had to convert it to gif... and it looks like crap but shows the end result.
I figured out a way to turn the 3 wire harness that goes with the light into a 1 wire and then tapped into my high beam power wire so that it sends 12 volts to the high beams and at the same...
Now to wire it up.. but not about to fight 5 o’clock traffic nor stand in the heat.. it was bad enough on the install. May go this evening in a little and grab the harness and hook everything up and swap my low beam bulbs to nicer ones while I’m at it.

Probably the easiest thing I’ve done to the truck besides put gas in it. I’ll end up getting the light bar soon and wiring it up.

Won’t be going too crazy for a little because I quit my job and haven’t gone anywhere else yet. Just taking some time.
I finally made a decision on brackets though and ordered this setup:
Haven’t decided on which light bar yet. I’m going to hook it so that my high beams trigger the relay so...
Got bored and installed the new fog lights, AND I realized I had brand new led bulbs still in the box that were the right number for my fog lights[emoji2371]
Found some sort of stand that my uncle has had laying in the wood shop for years and I’d been tripping over it.. and realized it...
New fog lights with brackets are on the way. I’ll throw the center plastic piece back in soon but I plan to buy a 21” light bar kit that’s designed to mount between the tow hooks and wire the relay to my high beams.
Also, new door is stripped down and will be ready for a coat of primer soon...
****** night photos, but I finished bedliner and my friend is back in town and gave me a hand with the swap. I’ve got new fog bezels to go on but my mount for the driver side fog housing is busted. I’m going to attempt to just rig it for now and order a new mount momentarily. I’m done for today...
I got busy this weekend with other projects but I pretty much finished the front of the bumper. I’m going to roll on bedliner onto the backside when I get back home then get in the crevices with a brush and give it a week to harden up then bolt it on.
I have the new fog bezels, just need to...
The OEM replacements from autozone just don’t seem to last like they should and get sloppy.
So...... trying these out.
They’ll go on next weekend sometime (when they arrive) and hopefully I’ll get around to unboxing bedliner and put some more coats on the front bumper.
Been rather busy...
