Yes, the warranty is through Autoguard. And they have a customer for life as far as I'm concerned. As I stated in a previous post, they stepped up and are paying $7,500 of the almost $14,000 cost even thought the vehicle was technically out of warranty. I can't thank Autoguard enough...- Jeff Ward

Update: @RamCares opened a case on this and I sent them all the information they requested. I received an email late Friday afternoon (that I just got this morning since we were out of town) stating that since my truck is in Canada, They can't do anything. Update: Autoguard, the extended warranty company, has stepped up and is going to pay $7,500 of the almost $14,000 bill. I am very grateful for this. The truck was out of warranty by only 883 miles, but out of warranty none the less and they didn't have to pay anything. Additionally...- Jeff Ward

Hey Sam, I bought it from Hendrick in Cary. The work is being done at Performance Ram in Clinton. I kind of didn't have a choice since it blew up 10 miles down the road from them. I felt kind of lucky in that regard... Just curious, why did you trade it with only 32K miles?- Jeff Ward

Correction: I just found out my extended warranty (through Autoguard, a Hendricks company) ran out at 93,443 miles. At breakdown the truck had 94,326 miles. Only 883 miles out of warranty...- Jeff Ward

Okey dokey, finally heard from the dealer. Timing chain broke with catastrophic damage to the engine. Have to replace the engine. Total labor and materials with a remanufactured engine is $13,897.00. I'm not very happy about it. Most of those miles are highway. I drive back and forth from Wilmington to Raleigh (two hours each way) twice a week with the cruise set at 71 mph. So it's not like the truck has been abused...- Jeff Ward
