High idle to sputtering low; back to high after battery d/c

2 lines below transmission - Red and black
So there are 2 very small lines that terminate in the bracket below the transfer case. The red one is cut. I trace it back to two aluminum lines running along the lower body of the passenger side. Dash core repair.
Has anyone put one of the molded dash overlays on a broken top dash? I thought it would be easy enough to find an actual replacement, not a cap, but not so far. I can find the instrument panel bezel.
