1 x JL Audio Fix 82 for sound summing and processing...
JL Audio makes a nice unit to sum up to 8 channels and give an analog or digital signal out. It is what I am running now and even the stereo shop was suprised by the sound. It also has a auto DSP built into it and if you want more you add their second module for a true dsp on 8 channles.
Look...
The module was taking too long to ship and I cancelled the order. I put my factory 8.4" radio back in and added the JL Audio fix 82 to sum my channels. I have t had the problem since!!!!
Tried telling Maestro they had a bug in their firmware. But they swore it was the truck and not their...
Did you do the smart start install yourself? How hard was it to add it?
I'm contemplating doing it myself to save $70 labor from my local shop. The Dball2 was a breeze.
I've waited a long time to do this. Last 2 vehicles have been wranglers and there was no point into dropping that much money for quality audio in then.
The ram 8.4" climate controls are tied to the head unit since we do not have a knob to select dash floor or defrost. I think there is something in the maestro that is keeping this awake or that ram found a problem with this and corrected it with a firmware update in their 8.4" head unit. The...
I had one in my 13 for 3 months. It is very solid and my audio shop was impressed with the looks of it when I took it by for them to see it.
I recently pulled it out and went back to factory. I was having a problem with my evic lights staying on when I locked the truck that was not there...
I have the same problem and after 2 months of plugging and unplugging wires I have found my issue. It is with my climate controls. When you pull the radio dash off the top center plug has 3 wires in it. It is right behind the emergency flasher switch on my '13 with 8.4a radio.
I waited until...
Completely not true for the Ram 8.4". I am using the JL Audio FiX 82 to sum my channels as well as for its DSP. Sound is amazing and I didn't have any issues.
Before I got the FiX 82 I was using speaker wire to RCA adapters directly into my JL Audio HD 900/5 with no issues either and no line...
That is exactly what they did. I installed the FiX-82 yesterday and it resolved all of my problems. After calibration the Hiss is gone. Mabye 5% there. I have to put my ear next to the speakers to hear it now. When I bypass the DSP on the FiX 82 it comes back in.
The FiX-82 is a DSP as well, and it does an amazing job. I just installed mine today, and I will never run a factory head unit without a DSP. My JL Sig shop in town was really surprised with the difference in clarity and quality of the audio that I get now.
I would highly advise it. It also...
Yes hiss is gone, and I didn't change any wiring. Still using existing speaker wire that was pulled from the pillars to the FiX-82. Then FiX to Amp via rca. Then amp back to speakers in door.
You can turn off the digital EQ on the FiX temporarily, and I can clearly hear the difference it is...
