Terrible towing with factory air suspension

I wonder if you also have a different hitch height from old to new truck, causing your tongue weight to change. I was getting bad trailer sway on my old 1500 pulling a cargo trailer. Ended up with a 6" drop hitch to level out the trailer and that pretty much solved the problem. I also agreed...

    Leveling transmission for fluid change

This is basically the only way to do the fluid change. What I would recommend is after you change the fluid, drive it for 500 or 1000 miles until you have another free weekend and then drain and change the fluid again. You dont have to take the pan off the second time so it is a lot easier...

    Power wagon

You should be fine without airbags as long as you have the WDH setup properly. I have a toy hauler thats about the same length but 7300 dry. Add a 1500 lb Can Am and the truck is pretty well maxed out on paper. Truck towed that trailer through the mountains in Colorado fine with just a wdh...

In the market for 2500, gas versions make annoying noise?

Thats the same noise. I read through the whole HD rams thread and everyone agreed it's just exhaust noise. Neither y pipe nor mufflers made any difference. Curious if headers is the answer or something with the cats.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DyWnk8tTUs Is this is the noise you are talking about?

I dont see anything in that Video link that seems like a before video, but I think I know what sound you are talking about after watching one of those videos on HD Rams. I guess I assumed that particular noise was just the exhaust noise in the muffler.

Can You Pump Up Your Brake Pedal?

I agree, but I was sure glad to have properly working brakes when I lost trailer brakes coming out of the mountains in CO last year. To OP, I did notice the brake pedal in my 2500 is much softer and has a bit more play than the 1500 I had.

In the market for 2500, gas versions make annoying noise?

The valvetrain on the hemi is pretty noisy, could be what you are hearing. I've never heard an odd noise from the 8-speed.

    Rear trailer camera added

Did you add the trailer camera connector with this kit or did your truck come with it? I've been trying to find some info to add a trailer camera but maybe I'm searching the wrong thing.

Upgrade combos for towing and every day driving.

I have only owned my power wagon a few months, but dropping the pressure helped the ride significantly. Different tires obviously, but the consensus for the PW is about 45 psi front and 40 psi rear unloaded. You can do a chalk test on your tires to determine if you are over optimal pressure...

    2023 2500 6.4 - instrument cluster self adjusts

My 2018 would do that. I would be driving along with just the vent blowing air and the AC would automatically turn on. It was either raining or really humid outside. So it's not just defrost it will also do it for regular vent air.

    8 speed questions

I'm probably going to change mine around the 30k mark. Shifting is a bit clunky sometimes so hopefully that will smooth it out.

    husky vs weathertech floor

I had husky in my 1500. Got them from Amazon warehouse so the price was hard to beat. Only gripe I had with them was the spikes on the underside I feel like are not good for the carpet and I was extra careful when removing them to make sure I didnt scratch the leather. My 2500 already had...

any vendors out there with ARH 2500 headers in stock?

Most vendors just drop ship from the manufacturer or a central warehouse nowadays. Probably looking for a big company like summit to actually keep anything in their own warehouse.

    Drying Towels

I've been using these waffle weave towels for years and have really good luck with them. https://www.autogeek.net/cobra-waffle-weave.html I'm really surprised to see all the people using big fuzzy towels as they will want to pick up any and every contaminant and keep it in those fibers. Only...
