    Well deb and i did get the tranny out of the 01 and into the 97. The trans temp and overdrive light were always on. Found a thread that said new solenoid and temp sensor or ecm. Got the ecm from the 01 and all is good. Thx for the help. So we want to move the dash from the 01 to the 97...

    Overdrive light going on and off

    Just something to check. I have found that the wiring harness, located just above your left foot when in the driver seat , likes to lay on the sharp metal edge of the lower section of the dash. The sharp edge can cut any number of wires and cause any number of shorts and problems.

    Could this leak through the valve covers and into the plentum gasket fool u into thinking it was the valve stem seals.

    Ok thx i pulled and tested the ones of the 01 and the check valve was fin so deb and wiggled em in and are getting ready to put the tranny in from the same truck thx again
