Ride Quality - 2500 Power Wagon vs Rebel vs Laramie

The payload is a real killer!

Ride Quality - 2500 Power Wagon vs Rebel vs Laramie

Unfortunately nothing yet, there was a 2500 Rebel coming into a local dealership. I had a test drive scheduled but it sold over the weekend before I got there :( Now that we're into March, I can wait a little bit so I want to make sure I get to test drive it before I make a decision I did test...

Thanks all, definitely ditching the cover. I’ve been researching the retractable ones, but I don’t think I can live with the space you lose in the cab

    Build Order Options

Hey everyone, building a Ram Rebel 2500 to place an order (once I receive my deposit back on a Yukon). Here is a link to the truck I am likely going with 2023 Ram 2500 Rebel feel free to critique it But my main question is the quality of the Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover, is it better to go...

Ride Quality - 2500 Power Wagon vs Rebel vs Laramie

I did go to a Ford dealership to check out their offerings. While they’re priced thousands less than Rams, they’re so uninspiring. Ironically enough they had a 1500 Rebel there with the Ram boxes…damn those are so cool

Ride Quality - 2500 Power Wagon vs Rebel vs Laramie

The second test drive was much much better, but I did feel that constant vibration, but a severely lower extent. Enough to believe I’d be ok with it I’m strongly leading towards the Rebel 2500 with air suspension. Funny enough I was ready to send in an order while still deciding on some options...

Ride Quality - 2500 Power Wagon vs Rebel vs Laramie

I believe the towing #s are way down on that trim? According to Rams site, 1600 lbs less towing and 30 lbs less payload Any thoughts on towing a 28’ enclosed car trailer (~4500 lbs) with a C7 Z06 (~3700 lbs)? Terrifying or walk in the park?

Ride Quality - 2500 Power Wagon vs Rebel vs Laramie

Test drove the second Power Wagon, much much better than the first one I test drove and something that wouldn’t bother me, but still not quite as nice as the Laramie. I also got to see the Olive Green which was my first choice, but it’s a bit dull and not for me Of course they had a Hydro...

Ride Quality - 2500 Power Wagon vs Rebel vs Laramie

Yes, I am looking at both the 1500 Rebel and 2500 Rebel. This thread was primarily on the 2500 Rebel as I was concerned with ride quality in a 2500 and test drove a Laramie and Power Wagon as I thought that would give me the best impression A Power Wagon can likely handle my needs as well...

Test driving another Power Wagon tomorrow afternoon, what should the tire PSI be?

I’d be very happy if I can get that mpg

Ride Quality - 2500 Power Wagon vs Rebel vs Laramie

No not when towing But for the 2500 I’m expecting 12-13 mpg for normal driving and the 1500 18-19 mpg? I guess my math of double was way off, I meant 50% more Are my 1500 mpg estimates off under normal driving? 75% highway miles

Ride Quality - 2500 Power Wagon vs Rebel vs Laramie

Lol I was thinking about a 1500 Rebel but the payload concerns me as I’d like the ability to tow a C7 Z06 in a 28’ish enclosed trailer and that’s getting close to the payload capacity after Ram box, the other goodies and a passenger I may still go the 1500 Rebel route for nearly double the...
