Ev's, turbo charged small engines in trucks are just a government phantasy. If you run empty all the time I guess they would be all right but if you load them heavy for work these small turbo engines in reality do not get much better mileage than a V-8 and most likely will wear out sooner.
People who do more idling and stop and go traffic seem to have the most problems. Those who do less idling seem to have the least problems. No matter what brand people buy, they should do some research ahead of time to avoid expensive problems.
I have a son in law with Ram diesel a couple of years old and having problems and waiting for parts. He was all enthusiastic when he bought it but not so much anymore. Every time dodge merges with another company the worse the fit, finish, and reliability gets. Just a fact.
You are better off doing your own oil changes as then you know it is done right. A lot of the people at the dealers are not mechanics but rather low paid people hired off the street and many do not care if your oil change is done right. After you do it a few times you will get over your...
Most people that rent vehicles have a tendency to beat the crap out of them and you also do not know if the vehicle was maintained properly. You may get a good one but it is a gamble.
When a company has a problem and they keep producing the product without attempting to solve the problem, it is time for customers to find an alternative product. I had a problem with a 2016 ford focus dual clutch transmission which was repaired under warranty (there was no real fix as they...
With all the plastic parts on engines today, the beauty cover was most likely omitted to eliminate heat damage in the summer time. If it does have a cover, it probably would be best to throw it in the trash.
Has Chrysler solved the hemi tick on it's new engines? Just curious as I am driving my old 97 with a 318 with only small minor problems over the years. With Stelantis and Fiat, the Ram has gotten progressively worse in the last 15 years. As long as people keep buying junk, they will keep...
A friend bought a Chevy truck with the 5 cyl. engine and it blew up at 38,000 miles. GM after 3 months, replaced with a remanufactured engine that originally had over 100,000 miles on it. That was years ago and it is still running fine. You can ask for a crate engine but I doubt you will...
Bearing play is one of the biggest causes of warped rotors. Jack your wheels off the ground and wiggle the wheel to check if there is any play in the bearings. If so, change the bearing. If you have bearing run out you will keep ruining rotors.
