2013 Outdoorsman - complete replacement LED headlights from "topgearautosport"

2013 Outdoorsman 5.7 - I was thinking of upgrading to LED using this full headlight replacement kit - I do not have projector headlights. https://www.topgearautosport.com/188713/2013-dodge-ram-led-quad-headlight-bulbs-set-complete-kit This seems like a pretty good deal - anyone have...

Knocking noise drivers side dash area on sharp impacts

Ok, so I solved this problem. The metal clip that holds the brake pedal on a metal shaft was not as tight as it should be, allowing the pedal to rattle over bumps. Of course the noise gets transmitted up behind the dash.

Knocking noise drivers side dash area on sharp impacts

2013 Outdoorsman 5.7 4WD 80K miles. its been driving me nuts for a while. When the left front wheel hits a broken surface or drops into a minor pothole I get a knocking/heavy rattle under the dash. It’s seemingly coming from inside the drivers side dash area. It’s not the suspension which has...

2012, 86K, Laramie Longhorn suddenly loses power coming to traffic light

I have what sounds like exactly the same problem as the OP described. 2013 5.7L 1500 Outdoorsman 4WD. 75K miles. Always serviced, runs great. Randomly ( once every few weeks) pulling up to a stop/traffic-light or even slowing down for a tight right hand turn, the truck would stall. No codes (...

    2013 Ram 1500 Big Horn Engine Wiring Harness - Part # 68144497AD

Just to update this. truck is running again with a new (used) ECM....at substantial total cost, though the used ECM's are only $200-$250. There does seem to be a design issue with this MY and the engine cover. The tech who fixed mine routed everything away from the engine cover but said I might...

    2013 Ram 1500 Big Horn Engine Wiring Harness - Part # 68144497AD

This is fascinating. Twice the ECM of my 2013 5.7L outdoorsman with 6 Speed has failed due to an engine wiring harness issue. Both times the failures occurred in Baja on rough roads, and I limped the vehicle home. The first time the dealer claimed the engine cover mounts were damaged and cover...

    Bilstein 5100 durability

It’s clear that the 5100’s are street shocks and for occasional rough road duties. I’ve learnt my lesson.... baja roads needs something a bit more serious. Thanks for the good tips (and thanks to bilstein for their warranty!).

    Bilstein 5100 durability

Baja is still pretty magical once you get past San Quintin. I think the only solution is to go with the 5160 with reservoir ( or Fox shocks). At least it "only" costs labor to replace the 5100s but it is sort of annoying...

    Bilstein 5100 durability

Just a heads up from my personal experience and that of my other truck owning friends. The 5100s really improved the ride of my 2013 outdoorsman over stock but the 5100s are not up to rough road driving . I drive in baja on public and marked dirt roads (aka most roads in Baja) to surfing spots...

    service electronic brake system message

I had this message in the main display along with cruise control being disabled. (2013 Outdoorsman 4WD) Just for other members information this turned out to be caused by the steering being out of alignment. Apparently if the alignment is sufficiently 'out' it will cause this error. So the fix...

My MY13 NEVER got the OTA update. However, they made it available , finally on the UConnect web site and I downloaded the update onto a USB stick and did it that way.

    Uconnect 8.4 & 8.4an update - 17.11.07

Well after receiving the e-mail over a week ago... I'm still waiting for the update to show up!

    Uconnect 8.4 & 8.4an update - 17.11.07

Just got the email also. So I'm a bit confused. I never paid to maintain the 3G services after the complementary period. But I gather it is still active so that FCA can push an update?

Replacing center panel of power sliding rear window

IN case anyone gets here via Mr. Google I managed to replace the power slider glass. For my model year it is true you need to replace the motor assembly if you can't find the 68054780AA part, and need the updated part. However I did find the original part ( only 8 left in the US) and replacement...

Replacing center panel of power sliding rear window

I have a 2013 Outdoorsman with the power sliding rear window. In a random act of my stupidity the center panel only (ie. the sliding part) was broken. Contrary to what many people say, you can buy the center panel as a separate part (68054780AA) for about $125. However, my parts supplier is...
