I’m going to have to disagree here. I brought the truck in and asked them to replace my wiring harness’. Dropping a piece of hardware into the intake manifold and then starting the truck and having said hardware run through my engine block feels like a totally different ball game. I think I’ve...
Update on the situation at the dealership:
Went in and took a hard look at the cylinder walls and piston head. (They had not planned on replacing the piston) there were some big ass gouges in the piston head but no damage appeared to have been done to the walls. I told them they needed to...
Bee1971 That helps thank you. I think that gives me a good starting point with how to approach these guys. And for the record all, yeah... me no touchy trucky any more. Just gotta tell myself, "You're a carpenter, not a mechanic, there's a reason they don't make engine blocks out of mdf!" smh
chrisbh17 I had a chance to look at the piston top and it had some dings from what I could tell didn't look down into it at the walls was only there for a second getting insurance card for rental

Hi I recently took my 2018 Tradesman 1500 in to the local dealership to have them return it to factory conditions after I made a mess of the wiring under the hood while upgrading everything to 1/0 cable and installing a Self exciting high output alternator. Long story short they quoted me a...
bassheadhemi sorry for the delayed response here. I feel kind of stupid asking this but how would I go about running the alternator from a second belt? I was also looking at something on Mechman’s site that said to fabricate another bracket to hold a free spinning pulley that would ride on the...
When I contacted Diablo they said they only have a pretty limited option for enhancing pedal sensitivity for the 2018. Rep told me they were “close” but since the pcm is locked weren’t there yet. Is there another route I should be going? Kind of a novice when it comes to this.
